Gate of Time and Door of Time

HH pretty much confirmed that the Sealed Temple will become the Temple of Time in the future so this is just a small side note but still worth mentioning in my opinion. I'm currently playing Ocarina of Time and both the Door of Time and the Gate of Time are referred to as 時の扉 (Toki no Tobira) in Ocarina of Time and Skyward Sword respectively. This is further strengthening the impression that both of those Time Portals are one and the same thing. We may want to add that to the Trivia. Bakeneko 11:41, 20 December 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Well it's listed as a "comparable object" in the infobox, but yeah, the connection could definitely be elaborated upon in the Trivia section and that Japanese name thing is worth mentioning, for sure. I wouldn't say they're "one and the same", though. The fact that they're so different in appearance (one is a rotating gear thingy while the other is just, well, a door) makes that statement a little dubious. Plus, the Door of Time itself isn't a time portal in OOT; the portal is in the room behind it. — Hylian King [*] 22:38, 20 December 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I wouldn't even call that a "time portal" in OoT. Sorry, Bakeneko, but they're not the same thing.User:Justin ZW/sig 22:40, 20 December 2012 (UTC)
I never explicitly said they are the same thing. I said, it is further strengthening the impression. Impression in the sense of assumption. I just mentioned that to give an example of why this may be important to some people. I'm not here to talk theories but I think it's an interesting piece of information together with what HH says about the Sealed Temple and the Temple of Time. We don't have to and we should not add this assumption in the Trivia as a matter of fact. That would be something for a theory section.
We could just write something like: "In Japanese both the Door of Time and the Gate of Time share the same name, 時の扉 (Toki no Tobira)." - and add that on both pages. Bakeneko 05:20, 21 December 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
The impression I have is that the Gate of Time was destroyed by Impa at the end. Zeldafan1982 13:01, 21 December 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
