Correct me If I'm wrong, but doesn't the Knights appear in FSA? They give you the pearls.

It is relevant that the "knights" do not seem to appear in OoT, only guards and captains/ceremonial guards (for a more in depth look, there is Captain Viscen, which I should expand). One of the rationale being that none are seen with a Hylian Shield, which is said in that item's description to be the stock shield of the Knights. Since the Dying Guard is just considered a reference at best, it would probably better to move him over to the guard page with a link over here as what he is likely referencing. Hero of Time quote
The bit that says the Hero of Time "might have been a Knight of Hyrule"...How could that be? Link was still a baby when his mother died.
Also, I don't understand the ambiguity of the claim. Doesn't it saying he might have been a knight sound a little clunky? Doodlyskoots (talk) 22:05, 20 September 2018 (UTC)
- Knighthood in some cultures is considered hereditary, so even a baby can inherit the title of knight. Link could also have been knighted after performing heroic deeds. TriforceTony (talk) 20:17, 9 March 2019 (UTC)
References from multiple languages
There have been a bunch of recent edits by new user User:KRJones87 which used quotes from both the official English games and fan-translated from Japanese games. I don't know enough about this subject to fully investigate it on my own, but we should check if the Japanese quotes have equivalent English quotes that convey more-or-less the same thing, otherwise it could be considered a combining of lore from the two sources.
For reference, Zelda Wiki follows the series' North American English canon, except where any gaps may occur. Htwretched (talk) 23:26, 27 December 2021 (UTC)
Hi Htwretched, I belive that I've used reliable sources, but I always 100% agree on Japanese speakers double checking fan translations. Additionally for every reference that's a fan-translated Japanese text, I also added a second reference of the same section of text with the Nintendo of America translation as well.
