Master Sword

added on a previous edit, the Master Sword is not in this game. Somone fixed this in a previous spot, but missed one change. I shall edit! --Magnus orion (talk) 00:12, 6 March 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I don't know. The similarity between the Seashell Sword and the Master Sword is too great to ignore. Emma (Talk) 00:47, August 17, 2008 (UTC)

Seashell Sword

As far as I can tell, in-game it is never referred to as either "Seashell Sword" or "Master Sword" - the only relevant quote is "You've got a new Sword! You should put your name on it right away!" Perhaps we need a ref from a players' guide or something? • Pete | 09:26, 26 January 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
That would be good. I compared text dumps from the original version and the DX version and couldn't find either name in either of them. But Googling "Seashell Sword" did lead me to forum discussion where other users say that the sword was re-named in the DX version. So a reference would be great. I have both versions, the sword was not named in either version, nor is it named in the guide for the original (non DX version). I believe the DX guide was only different by containing a small suppliment on the extra dungeon? Or maybe there wasn't one. In any case, I'm pretty sure "Seashell Sword", while a convenient name, is entirely fanon. It could be the "Magical Sword" or "Master Sword", but we don't know. I'll do some checking, but I'm pretty sure it is unnamed, like the main sword and the second Power Bracelet, and are only referred to by their level. Level 2 Sword versus Ultimate Sword

So going back to the discussion of the final sword's name, I do not agree with the notion that it is called the "ultimate sword". The use of "ultimate" when the spirit gives the sword is just being used as an adjective to describe the sword's power. It is called Level 2 Sword everywhere else, which is a more definite name for it. I'd rather it just be called that. - Midoro (T C) 02:35, 21 August 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I agree. It's definitely not used in a name-ly sense. - TonyT S C 02:44, 21 August 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
The Nintendo Power guide calls it specifically Level 2 Sword. - Chuck * (Talk) 05:02, 21 August 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Koholint Sword

The following messages were originally on this page, but fit well with the archived messages. Thus, they have been grouped together.

The Switch version of Link's Awakening gave the sword a new name, the Koholint Sword, as seen here at 22:35: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GOcSF6vtGy0
So the page should be renamed/moved to reflect that. DarkLink1996 (talk) 00:15, 20 September 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]

You should have the ability to move the page yourself. If there's any name changes like this, you should be sure to cite them when doing so. TriforceTony (talk) 00:39, 20 September 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]
