References

Hey Chris! Just wanted to let you know that I finally got started on the Hyrule Landmarks references. :D It might take me a while to get them all done, but just know that I'll eventually finish them up and then start on the references for Zant's Invasion of Hyrule article and all of its subarticles. So, yeah, don't think I've forgotten about those pages! ;p Dany36 18:24, 4 October 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

That's great to hear Dany, I'm glad to hear progress is being made on the pages. I'm still in the process of writing Zant's Invasion of Hyrule, but I've been so busy lately with school it's been exhausting. I will finish it soon though, and then it will be on to the next project, lol. But thank you for helping with the sources, I greatly appreciate it. Talk to you soon. ;) Link87 14:15, 5 October 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hyrule Article

I think I should involve you with the changes I'm making to the article. Seeing that you've put so much time/effort/debate into it. The cuts you'll see is good writing, don't think I'm saying it isn't, but a paste job to the main race pages would be an apt solution for all. If I do all of this well enough, the locations could easily be worked back in. I'd rather discuss the finer points with you on skype since talk pages here fill up so bad :P Axiomist (talk) 02:40, 6 October 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I see what you mean, and yes I can chat on Skype. Sorry I would have been on sooner had I known. I'm on now. Link87 04:01, 6 October 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hey Man!

(Sorry if you're not who I think you are.) Hey man! It's me, Mr kmil! How's it going! I see that you migrated from ZP over here. Maybe you'll get treated better over here? I miss your edits, and everything's going pretty well on ZP. Give me a response, maybe we can catch up a little. Mr kmil

Hey man, I apologize if I'm unsure who you're referring to; I did subscribe to ZP once briefly, but I didn't have many major dealings there, apart from typical edits. But I think I may remember seeing or talking to you there too, I'm glad to hear things are going well for you. Link87 19:54, 10 October 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Did you not have an account over on Zeldapedia named "Hero of Time87"? If not I'm sorry, because I mistook you for someone else. Mr kmil 17:26, 11 October 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

No, I did not have a screen name like that, mine was just a generic one like the one I have here. I knew of the guy you're talking about, but not that well. I did leave however for the same reasons he seemingly did, for poor leadership and clashes with the regime there. I don't know what became of your friend, but I talked to him off and on. I believe I also may have talked to you once or twice now that I think of it, so it is nice to hear from you again no less my friend. I don't even remember exactly what my name was for sure back there, it was "Link" and some number, but I dissolved it voluntarily upon my migration to Zelda Wiki. Link87 22:37, 11 October 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Alright, sorry for the mistake. Mr kmil 22:40, 11 October 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

No worries man, like I said I am glad to hear from you again no less. If you ever get on Skype sometime, look me up and we can perhaps chat more there. I hope all's going well for you. Link87 22:45, 11 October 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Sheikah Page

Looks like you're going to overhaul the Sheikah page next. One thing I noticed is that you had "Sheikah" written out in Hylian, but it was black, a little hard to read on the dark blue backgrounds. Most other pages that have Hylian text in them use white font. Maybe we can work on that page like with the Imprisoning War page? Ganondorfdude11 23:29, 16 October 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

That was exactly my thought, I just had to get off quickly so I could get to a Psych exam and forgot to message you before I left. That'd be great, some help on an article as big as this one will be. Link87 00:43, 17 October 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Excellent work!

I just have to say that your work on the Sheikah article with Ganondorfdude11 is excellent so far, despite your frequent clashes with the admins over other articles. I look forward to possibly collaborating with your strong work ethic in the future. =) — ciprianotalk 04:55, 26 October 2009

Why thank you sir or maam, I apologize for not knowing which as I am still getting to know everyone. And yes, I would love to collaborate with you on future projects as well and perhaps even solicit your help on the current Sheikah article as well. I am deeply humbled by your kind words, and I will continue to give my best effort to make the articles as informative and interesting as I possibly can. Thanks again! ;) Link87 05:14, 26 October 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
By the way, do you ever get on Skype?? Link87 05:15, 26 October 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Even though my sig is purple/pink, I'm a dude, just did that to differentiate from the other signatues already here. And as far as skype goes, I don't have an account yet, but probably be getting one soon. I'll hit you up! — ciprianotalk 18:42, 26 October 2009
I see man, cool cool. Well I look forward to hearing from you then! ;) Link87 00:37, 27 October 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
It's been awhile, but I'm on Skype now =) — ciprianotalk 04:04, 15 December 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Ah, wonderful man! What's your s/n on there and I'll add you to my list. Link87 04:26, 15 December 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Edits

The multiple, consecutive page edits have got to stop. It floods the recent changes and the page histories. Not to mention is highly annoying and difficult to patrol. It's not very hard to click show preview. I mean, several edits to the same page are understandable but 20-30 is just ridiculous.Mandi Talk 19:50, November 1, 2009 (UTC)

Although Mandi put that somewhat too bluntly from my liking, it's a valid point and one that I hope you'll take on board. For myself, and I'm sure for others as well, it's a matter of pride to make changes in as few edits as possible. We do this out of courtesy to the many others who use the Recent Changes daily, and to the dedicated staff team who work hard to ensure that every edit here at ZW is checked and verified. A number of things can help with this, including planning all the information you'd like to add, using a spellchecker and editing the whole article rather than using the section edit links. Also, I can't urge you strongly enough to compose large edits in a text-based document on your computer before posting; not only does this help with the problem of multiple edits, but you protect yourself accidentally from losing unsaved work. Adam [ talk ] 20:41, 1 November 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I will ignore Mandi's rudeness under the understanding that she has not always been known to be polite to users. On the other hand, I greatly appreciate your respectful and moderate tone Adam, and I agree with what you are saying wholeheartedly. I apologize to you if there have been a lot of edits, part of the reason for that was that GD11 and I were working on separate sections at the same time, and we had edit conflicts as a result b/c he was working on one section while I was working on the other unbeknownst to me for a while. So I shall indeed try to scale down the edits as best I can in future, it's actually been better lately, it was just last night we happened to be working on the same article at the same time and I didn't realize we were both going to be editing for as long as we did. So thank you Adam, and I will indeed keep what you have said in mind and adhere to it to the best of my ability. Link87 23:17, 1 November 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

:)

I'm happy to see that my Trinity of Truth article has helped you in your revamp of the Sheikah article =) — ciprianotalk 05:58, 9 November 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hey! You're the one I've been trying to get in touch with, lol. Yes, and you're right about what you've written I feel. I found on the official site where it says the stone really is a companion relic to the others, confirming that they are indeed related. Thanks for alerting me to that though, I would never have thought of that before. Do you know if there is a place where it tells more about the stone's origins? Link87 06:02, 9 November 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I wish I could help, but since the Stone of Agony is one of the least described items in the game, I really doubt there is any other information about it! =( I can look, but in writing that article, I really didn't use any sources... except for the ZW page, the official site, and Ocarina of Time itself. It was all based on a hunch! See how that turned out!
Oh, and I'm definately joining in on the Skype chat in the next couple weeks/days, so I'll be much easier to reach. — ciprianotalk 06:16, 9 November 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Actually, there is a fan-fic/theory [[1]] that talks a little about the Trinity of Truth and the relics' origins in much of the same way I did, if you need extra theory embellishment for the article. As far as pure references go on the Stone's origins, I don't think there are any. =( — ciprianotalk 12:47, 10 November 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Well what stumps me is that the article on the stone says that it was cut from a Gossip Stone, but I can't find any reference that states that, and I've been backward and forward through material looking for it. Have you ever heard of this? Link87 15:22, 9 November 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Yes, I have heard of that, and it makes sense as a further connection to Sheikah culture, but I haven't been able to source it either - I wish the Stone was in Majora's Mask too so that there would be a bit more source material on it (like the other two relics). — ciprianotalk 16:34, 9 November 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Yes I know what you mean there, perhaps the game-makers implied Link to still possess it since most had already acquired a Rumble Pak by that time. Regardless, it is indeed a Sheikah relic, it's confirmed on the official site as a companion of the others. I took the liberty of adding your work, or a slightly modified version of it, to the Sheikah article too by the way, I hope you don't mind, lol. I believe Ganondorfdude11 has also taken the liberty to request the picture be transparent-ized, so that will soon be taken care of too I'm sure. It looks very nice indeed. ;) Link87 16:40, 9 November 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Of course not, every thing I write on this wiki is fair game to be edited and used right? =) I agree it adds a nice finishing touch to the Sheikah article, and I feel that it was just begging to end up there anyway. The best! — ciprianotalk 05:27, 10 November 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I agree, it did put the finishing touch on the article, and excellent work once again! I look forward to seeing others like this. ;) Link87 05:44, 10 November 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Minister Potho

Hey, I wanted to let you know that you did a great job on the Minister Potho page! Keep up the good work. Alter  {T C B H } 22:31, November 12, 2009 (UTC)

Well thank you Alter, I appreciate your kind words and promise to do my best to carry on the work for the articles that are in need or need creating, lol. When I was giving Chancellor Cole a work-over, I noticed there was a red link where I mentioned Minister Potho, so I thought we needed to have one created. Little did I know we had one, lol, so I transferred all the work on it to the page we had and redirected the other to it. Link87 23:11, 12 November 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
FYI, I'm moving the whole page to "Potho". Alter  {T C B H } 23:38, November 12, 2009 (UTC)
That's how I had it originally, so I'm all for it. You made an excellent point about the titles issue, and I quite agree there. Link87 01:09, 13 November 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Message

Hey. --EDJoe45 02:26, 11 January 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Okay

So, I'm an admin from ZP. I can understand that you probably hate me and want to ignore me, but here me out: I do not hate you. I have never interacted with you on any level and wish to make it clear that I don't hate you. All I want to know is why you concealed that you where HoT87 from Zeldapedia? Any reason?CC talk:Ccbermanzzpedia talk 03:00, 11 January 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Well you certainly are more polite than most, so I will give you the answer you seek. I knew that those who took over Zeldapedia would be out for my head and give our fair and balanced council here unending headaches if I revealed who I was, and those same people proved me right. Zeldapedia betrayed me, and they lost my support forever as a resulting punishment. They unjustly cast me out and illegally took my powers as a staff member without anything real to justify such action. They gave me no chance to explain why what they said was untrue, and they greatly wronged me. They did so when I was away on an internship and was away from the wiki, which also shows just how deceitful those who were involved really are. I know their game. Now, I want nothing to do with Zeldapedia b/c it's become a far more corrupt and dysfunctional organization than I found it. I am far happier here at Zelda Wiki, and I wish I had come here to begin with. I did much for Zeldapedia, despite what those who lie say about me. A good portion of your foundations were my work, and yet the thanks I got was an unjust removal b/c a select few were able to fool the others into believing I was some monster out to get them. I wanted to trust all of you, and that trust was betrayed. Considering the circumstances, I think my resulting response was justified very much. Link87 03:13, 11 January 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Just out of curiosity, on Halloween you mocked me and said editing wikis was for children and that you had more important matters to take care of so you moved on. However, you have been here the entire time. odd, no? --EDJoe45 03:17, 11 January 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I have nothing more to say to the above party Wowzerras, so I shall answer only your messages, so long as they remain civil. I think that is fair, would you not agree? Link87 03:20, 11 January 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
That purely perpetuates your hostility though. Who ever said I was here to be rude or insulting? Maybe I am just seeking an apology. Are you seriously going to ignore this insult you gave me months ago, when you were guilty the entire time? I can undelete it on ZP if I must. I've been waiting for you to apologize since I realized this was you. Now that you have come out of the closet, I think the time has finally come. I think that is fair, would you not agree? --EDJoe45 03:26, 11 January 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I think Joe has a point.(Sorry for taking so long, I didn't want to edit block you) Not trying to be hostile or anything.CC talk:Ccbermanzzpedia talk 03:38, 11 January 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I doubt he will respond. Let it be noted who is truly corrupt. --EDJoe45 03:39, 11 January 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I think Chris has made it clear that he's doesn't care to respond. Just let the guy edit in peace. Alter  {T C B H } 03:54, January 11, 2010 (UTC)
I thought we could work something out Chris. I honestly did. Guess I was proven wrong once again.CC talk:Ccbermanzzpedia talk 03:59, 11 January 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Sup

Hey man, how's it going? Haven't seen you a-Skype in awhile! =) — ciprianotalk 21:24, 3 February 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hey man, great to hear from you. Yep, I've been completely swamped with engineering, math and physics these last few weeks. They are getting us off to a busy start, but it's beginning to stabilize a bit, so I should be able to resume my duties here, albeit to a slightly lesser extent than on my breaks due to school. Other than that I've been fine. How about you? Link87 21:40, 3 February 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Same sort of thing going on at this end, I was actually relieved to go back to school, as the break was too long! But yes, I'm going to be one here a bit less as well, but I'll still be on Skype... you should jump on again sometime. — ciprianotalk 21:42, 3 February 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
For sure man, I was on talking to Ax the other night. I'll try to keep an eye out for you next time I'm on. Link87 21:50, 3 February 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Multiple, consecutive edits

I've noticed that you tend to make multiple, consecutive edits to the same pages. Bear in mind, these multiple edits flood the recent changes and page histories. It is helpful to the staff, who have to check each individual edit for quality, if you could use the show preview button, which is located right next to the save page button. Mandi Talk 18:57, February 4, 2010 (UTC)

I apologize for that, but I have things I wish to add sometimes when we don't have Skype to talk through. I will keep what you ask in mind though. Link87 22:17, 4 February 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Welcome back!

Hey Chris, nice to have you back! =) — ciprianotalk 03:27, 15 April 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hey Cip! Thanks for the warm welcome man, and I look forward to working with you on some of the necessary work for the pages in the coming days and weeks ahead! ;) Link87 05:16, 15 April 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Neutrality

Seriously Chris, we can't change wording to accommodate one theory over another, nor interpret vague quotes. Although if you do want an outlet for that theory, I suggest participating in the Wiki Exclusive submission thing. I'm going to tweak all of those recent edits to be 100% neutral. Axiomist (talk) 08:44, 25 April 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

What are you talking about? I restored the quote Nerushi conveniently removed to support his side, and you're accusing me of not being neutral? He's the one that removed my entire point from before, and I never once said it was final, I said "this has caused some to doubt" the whole thing, that's very neutral and true. Tweak as you wish, but do not remove the quote, that's the whole point and he should be slapped on the hand for changing it in my absence. Link87 08:47, 25 April 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I'm not removing the quote, just going to tweak the wording so it sounds less definite of either case. Axiomist (talk) 08:48, 25 April 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Final warning

It's come to my attention that, once again, you've been involved in edit warring and lengthy talk page arguments, both of which you've been warned about on multiple previous occasions. You are now more than aware of what the ZW staff deem to be inappropriate conduct and actions. I want to explicitly warn you that if any of your edits from this point onwards are deemed to be unconstructive or disruptive, either by myself or any of the other staff, you will be blocked from editing. Since your last block was for 1 week, the block period imposed will be for 2 weeks. The disruption and damage caused to our community by your actions cannot and will not be allowed to continue unchecked. I'd like you to take this as what it is; a simple one-way statement and not the start of a discussion, as the only acceptable response which you could give is to understand and agree. Adam [ talk ] 16:03, 25 April 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Go "final warning" all you want, but until you start talking to the other parties as you do me, I'm not going to take you very seriously. I understand your concerns, but I will not be bullied, and I will not take such a tone from you or anyone else if you are not going to apply that to the other party involved, who is as guilty here as I am. So go right ahead, block me, but I won't be back period ever again, and the big loser will be the wiki b/c of your one-sidedness in these discussions. I am only back b/c some members, including staff members, ASKED me to come back. So don't patronize me with your "final warning" stunts if you're not going to remain fair about it. Block me once more, unfairly and without justice toward the other side as well, and it will be this wiki that is the ultimate loser, not me, b/c I can EASILY live without this place, as I've proven. 16:55, 25 April 2010 (UTC)
Chris, please just listen to Adam. I'm glad you're editing, but you need to recognize when your behavior goes a little too far. That's part of being human. You just need to realize that nobody's perfect. Hey, even I act like a total douche sometimes, but I realize it and apologize. I'd like to see you stay and edit with us, I really would, but you have to know when you've been in the wrong. Nerushi handles situations poorly, too, that's been recognized, but you've been here longer. You should really know better than this. Like I said, I consider you a friend, but I won't give you special treatment when you break the rules. I would suggest apologizing to Adam and everyone else before they block you, okay? You gotta know when to let some things go, and this is one of those times.
By the way, I said it before and I'll say it again: You aren't the sole party responsible, but you've been here for much longer than Nerushi and you've had plenty of time to come to learn our policies and receive warnings. Nerushi has not, and I agree that he needs someone to speak to him about it. Just worry about yourself for now, and the staff will deal with it, alright? All the best.User:Justin ZW/sig 17:08, 25 April 2010 (UTC)
I've already said I'm sorry the situations have occurred, but until "everyone else" starts remaining impartial to the two parties, regardless of how long who has been here, I'm not going any further. I expect no special treatment, but I can easily live without this place, and I'm not going to beat around the bush. One more block without some response to the other side as well and I am gone for good. I understand all your concerns and sympathize with them, and yes I agree edit wars are not a good thing for the wiki, but I have seen no action taken to address the other perpetrators of these wars (Nerusi in particular). You can't honestly expect me to stand by and take this treatment when he's not even getting a warning at all. I will not issue any further apologies when I've already addressed it. Nerushi has been here for over half a year, and he should also know better by this point. He has been involved in both of these disputes, and he is a guilty if not moreso than I am. I merely wish to keep things neutral and to mention things that people may not have noticed before, this guy tries to take them and slant them his direction, yet I see nothing being said to him. I appreciate your words Justin, and I respect you highly, but I hope you can understand this when I say that a failure to address both parties equally, regardless of time here, undercuts one's grievances. I will not be apologizing for the actions of another individual either, so please don't ask me to do so, as that is unfair. True I have been here longer, but that is no excuse to just let him do as he pleases and not make him learn anything about this place either. Link87 17:18, 25 April 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
"Tut Tut" all you want, but this "warning" is void until you issue the same sentence to Nerushi, who was involved in both disputes. You have no right to change my page either when Mandi and the rest are allowed to lock their pages and manipulate them as they want. So screw the "final warning" until you issue the same ruling to Nerushi rather than slapping him on the wrist. Your authority means nothing if you do not maintain neutrality and issue the same ruling uniformly. So stay off my page until you learn that. Link87 20:09, 26 April 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
