These insects have stolen the Spring Spirits' Light and entered that area into the Twilight. The only way to bring that area back to light is by destroying 16 of these creatures. Shadow Insect queen
This is seemingly the queen of the Shadow Insects and also a mini-boss. Link needs to defeat this bloated beast in order to restore the light to the Lanayru Province, as this monster holds the last tear of light.
