The Bird Key is a key found by Link in a cave in the Tal Tal Mountain Range, as seen in Link's Awakening. By using the Frog's Song of Soul, Link is able to awaken the Flying Rooster. With the rooster's help, Link uses the Chicken Gliding technique to fly to the key.
Using the Bird Key opens the entrance to the Eagle's Tower.
