Template:Character The son of Bipin and Blossom found in Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons. This character has no canonical name, as he is named by Link. He is a minor character, and is not necessary to the game's completion.

The growth of the child is affected by the amount of Gasha Seeds Link plants. If he plants few, then little growth will occur, whereas if he plants many, the maximum growth will occur. However, Link must visit the house frequently to ensure this, as Blossom will frequently have a problem with which Link must help. Until he helps, the child's growth will be frozen. No matter how many Gasha Seeds are planted in a normal game, the child will never grow beyond the age of a teenager.

Though Link gets to know Bipin and Blossom very well, eventually they will move out of Labrynna in Oracle of Ages and they will have a sign saying "We moved to Holodrum". The couple will be in that game if the games are linked via cable. Bipin and Blossom can no longer be seen after they move.

Upon linking to the next game, Link will find the family moved into town, the child as he was in the previous game. Link can now see the child grow up completely.

Careers

Depending on the choices made, the child may grow up to be a warrior, a singer, a Gasha farmer (like his father), or a slacker. Each one can somehow help Link out:

Warrior

He will ask Link which will make him mightier:

  • Daily Training - When he grows up, he will give Link 100 Rupees.
  • Natural Talent - When he grows up, he will give Link a one-time heal of one heart.
  • A Caring Heart - When he grows up, he will give Link a one-time complete health restore (like a Great Fairy).
  • None of the above - When he grows up, he will give Link one single Rupee.

Singer

He will ask Link whether to write a song about love or a song about courage. Either way, he will act like a Great Fairy (restore all Link's hearts) thereafter.

Gasha Farmer

File:Bipsom(Aborist).gifHe will give Link one Gasha Seed, and Gasha advice (same as Bipin's) after he grows up.

Slacker

If Link gives the child everything he needs and does so in excess, the child will become lazy and dependent.

He will ask for some money in order to go and "explore the world". Link can pick:

  • 1 Rupee - When he grows up, he will give Link nothing.
  • 10 Rupees - When he grows up, he will give Link a Gasha seed.
  • 50 Rupees - When he grows up, he will give Link 200 Rupees.
  • 100 Rupees - When he grows up, he will give Link a full Seed Satchel refill (one time only).

Trivia

In the multi-ending adventure books for Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages, Link names the child "Bipsom", a portmanteau of his parents' names. Although the books are technically not considered Zelda canon, this is the closest the child comes to having an official name.
