Template:Place The Kakariko Gorge is a large canyon to the west of Kakariko Village in Twilight Princess.

Features

The gorge goes around Kakariko Village, through the Eldin plains, around Hyrule Castle Town, and around Death Mountain. The Zora's River also flows right through the Gorge, which also serves as the province's Hyrule Field.

During Link's first visit, the Kakariko Gorge Bridge is missing, but it can be found in the northern Faron Woods.[1] After defeating the Shadow Beasts in the gorge, a portal, which is needed to bring the bridge back, is created. Midna then uses her powers to move the bridge from the Faron Woods back to its original location, allowing the young hero to reach Kakariko Village.

On the west side of the Kakariko Gorge is a Piece of Heart situated on top of a tall rock formation that can easily be retrieved with the use of the Gale Boomerang. Another Piece of Heart is located on that same rock formation, but it can only be reached by using the Double Clawshots to reach a small outcropping with a treasure chest containing the prize. Moreover, the final Heart Piece is within a Lantern Cavern that is initially blocked off by large boulders. Once Link blows up the boulders with the Bombs, the young hero must reach the end of the cavern to claim his prize.
