Template:Item Remote Bombs are recurring items in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2]

Location and Uses

The Minish Cap

Link can obtain Remote Bombs from Belari as an upgrade to his Bombs. This can be done after obtaining Bombs and Fusing Kinstones with Gentari, the Minish elder. After being set, Remote Bombs can only be detonated manually when the button to which they are assigned is pressed again. Because of this, it is impossible to set two Remote Bombs at the same time. Belari can trade the Remote Bombs back for regular Bombs if Link speaks to him again.[1] When Link has the Remote Bombs, he will obtain these items the same way as the Bombs.

Breath of the Wild

The Remote Bomb is a Rune for Link's Sheikah Slate that he obtains in the Ja Baij Shrine on the Great Plateau. The Rune allows Link to create spherical or cube-shaped Bombs that are detonated manually at the press of the L-button. Remote Bombs can also be detonated if shot with a projectile, such as an Arrow from Link or an enemy. After a Remote Bomb is detonated, it must recharge before Link can use another Remote Bomb. As the Remote Bombs are created by the Sheikah Slate, Link is no longer required to carry a reserve of ammunition in order to use the Rune. Like Bombs in other games, the Remote Bomb Rune can be used to damage enemies and blast away certain obstacles, such as cracked rocks. Spherical Remote Bombs effortlessly roll down slopes and move by other forces, such as wind, while cube-shaped Remote Bombs are less susceptible to moving. The spherical and cube-shaped Remote Bombs can be used simultaneously and independently. Link can drop Remote Bombs below him while he is Paragliding. Remote Bombs of either type will float if placed in water, or Link can also attach Octo Balloons to the Remote Bombs to make them float in the air. Enemies can also kick or pick up and throw the Remote Bombs that Link places. Remote Bombs normally deal 12 damage with a six second cool down. After being upgraded to the Remote Bomb +, they deal 24 damage with a three second cool down. The Blast radius does not change upon upgrading.

Other Appearances
