Template:Item The Cane of Somaria is a recurring item in The Legend of Zelda series.[1]

Uses

The Cane of Somaria can create a single block that Link can push and sometimes carry around. Only one block can exist at a time. This is useful to press switches or obstruct enemy projectiles.

Appearances

A Link to the Past

In A Link to the Past, the Cane of Somaria is the main item of Misery Mire, although it is mostly used in Turtle Rock. The Blocks created by Link can damage enemies that run into them, though they cannot sustain more than five hits. Magic is needed to create blocks.

Oracle of Ages

In Oracle of Ages, the Cane of Somaria plays a similar role as it does in A Link to the Past, but without requiring the use of Magic Power. It is the main item of the Crown Dungeon. Unlike A Link to the Past, the blocks cannot be detonated.
