Epona

This can't be right. ...I really hope this isn't right, because it means I've been looking in the wrong trophy box. How much of this is tested, and how much is pieced together from datamining? Epona can't be summoned only from the Smash Link amiibo. Lord of the Stalfos Creatures - Stalfos Meeting Chamber 17:30, 4 March 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I am not sure what is meant by "trophy box". However, this is what we do know at the time being for Epona. You are welcomed to help out by testing the amiibo functionalities. - Midoro (T C) 21:35, 4 March 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Sorry for the confusion. The whole point of amiibo is "Smash trophies off the screen". What I mean is, I've been searching for the Ocarina Link amiibo, and no sooner am I informed a local store has it than I find this page and see I need the Twilight Link for it. Which is a real pain. Table Reorganization

The following reorganization notice was added to the page: Wolf Link and Epona mechanic should be separated, table columns should contain the Treasure Chest items in one column and and other Object/Items spawned in the other.

As I added most of the information in the article just recently, I thought we could maybe have a conversation about which information we want to convey easily? My reasoning for the current layout was to emphasize either special effects (Wolf Link, Epona, but also metal crates and bomb barrels) or amiibo-exlusive items (like weapons and armor from previous games). To me it seems that this information is most important to anyone looking up the amiibo effects, and thus I thought it was a good idea to describe exclusive effects in their own section. There are other ways to present the information, for sure. But I'm not entirely sure whether seperating the sections just by "treasure chest" and "skydrop" and describing Epona and Wolf Link in their own sections really increases readability and usability of the page - and it may lead to redundant information and a less concise article. -- Tadayou (talk) 11:26, 14 April 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I don't see how it could lead to redundant information. Also, the current table is very badly stretched on mobile, which is mainly due to 90% of all items being listed in one column. My reasoning for adding the comment was that by splitting them into Treasure Chests and Spawned Items/Objects, we greatly reduce that issue and improve readability on mobile, which is important as we do get a lot of mobile traffic. We could emphasize the amiibo-exclusive items within the treasure chest column another way like putting them in bold and/or adding a note to them such as "This item can only be obtained by using amiibo". Functionality for the three new amiibo

I know that the functionality details was removed recently, because the wiki doesn't cover leaks. Can we at least put the details about the exclusive armor (but not the other items/exclusive gear) from the new amiibo, since this was shown in the official strategy guide? Or we can just put the details altogether when the new amiibo releases? Tininfinite8 (talk) 14:29, 15 April 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Please just wait until the amiibo are released. -- Hylian pi (talk) 22:18, 17 April 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]
