Template:Deleted Talk Page
Purpose
Archiving Talk Page messages whose respective page has been deleted in order to preserve history.
Usage
To use the template, type {{Deleted Talk Page|XXX}}
, with "XXX
" being the original page that the messages were on (without the Talk: at the start). The notice should be placed on the line below the header for the messages, and with a blank line between the template and the first message.
Examples
==Categories== {{Deleted Talk Page|Swords of A Link Between Worlds}} Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. ~~~~ :Ut enim ad minim veniam, quis nostrud exercitation ullamco laboris nisi ut aliquip ex ea commodo consequat. ~~~~
Another example can be seen on Talk:Items in A Link to the Past, where the message under "Images" was archived from the "Swords of A Link to the Past" page. Since the message was regarding images from A Link to the Past and was originally from a page regarding Items, then the message was archived to the "Items in A Link to the Past" page.
Guidelines
Whenever you delete a page (or mark a page for deletion), you should make sure to archive any messages that are on its Talk Page. The page that the messages are archived to should follow this format:
- - If the message is in regard to a Boss or Enemy, then the message should be archived to the character's respective "Enemies in GAME" or "Bosses in GAME" page.
- - If the message is in regard to a character, then the message should be archived to the character's respective "Characters in GAME" page.
- - If the message is in regard to a Item or Object, then the message should be archived to the subject's respective "Items in GAME" page.
- - If the message is in regard to a Dungeon or location, then the message should be archived to the subject's respective "Dungeons in GAME" or "Places in GAME" page.
- - If the message is in regard to translations, then the message should be archived to the subject's "GAME Translations" page.
If a message has no regard to a specific page at all, then the destination of the message can be discussed on the Discord server with other members. On the contrary, if a message refers to a more specific subject (for example, if a message refers to the Master Sword), then the page should be archived on the more specific page.
