The Goron Dance Hall in the past.

The Goron Dance is a mini-game that is played in Oracle of Ages. The mini-game is primarily played by Gorons, and they dance in the Goron Dance Hall which is held inside the base of Rolling Ridge. The dance is hosted and instructed by a dancing instructor who instructs at least seven Gorons within the dance hall. The mini-game can be played in both present day or in the past. In present day, it costs 10 rupees to play and in the past, it costs 20 rupees to play.

The mini-game involves the Gorons and Link to follow the moves of the dance instructor, by moving left or right or by striking a pose. However all of the dancers have to keep up with the instructor's rhythm. If anyone moved too late or too quickly, they would 'miss' and lose their chances of getting a perfect score. Each round has eight moves.

The Gorons who dance professionally refer to themselves as a 'Graceful Dancer', and that only people who dance well can be considered a Goron within the Rolling Ridge Goron tribe.[1] In the past, the dances are instructed by a red Goron who says that he is the first generation of Graceful Dancers.[2] In present day, a blue Goron instructs the dancers and says that he is the fifth generation.[3]

The prize for dancing well perfectly with no flaws was the Brother Emblem, which proved Link's worth to the Gorons. After acquiring the Brother Emblem, a Goron who was blocking a stairway from 'non-brothers'[4] allowed Link to pass. Afterwards, Link could dance again to win other things such as rupees, Gasha Seeds and Magic Rings.
