Phantom Hourglass section

The second entry in this section is wrong, IMO. When you put the crystals into the pedestals in the correct order and enter the little room from floor 9, there's an earthquake, and you come out on floor 10. That much is clear. However, many people, including myself, believe that the earthquake is actually not floor 10 replacing floor 9 in the temple, but the small room acting as a lift; going down a floor, so that when you come out again, you are on floor 10. Skyward Sword

• In the Faron Woods Silent Realm trial, Fi tells Link that she cannot be with him during the trial before he begins, which means that she won't interrupt him. However, she still cuts in midway through the trial to warn Link about the Waking Water.

--Link's soul traveled into the Silent Realm, but Fi is still with his body. I don't see how this is an "error" -- she's not with him in person, but she can still speak to his body, which he can hear.KrytenKoro 17:40, 5 January 2012 (EST)

Just so there are no misunderstandings, I had only copied the info from this segment, which still points it out (and even calls it irony, but I had removed the word prior to this article's edit). I myself didn't notice that Fi could still advise Link during the trials, only that she couldn't guide him in person. Link's Awakening

In Link's Awakening, Papahl mentions early on that he will be lost in the mountains later in the quest. Does this break the fourth wall or does he get himself lost in the mountains on purpose?

The Wind Waker

What about Ganon claiming that Link is the reincarnation of the HoT in TWW? This is impossible, as TWW takes place in the Adult Timeline, which the HoT left when he traveled back to the past. - Dere 03:22, 11 May 2013 (UTC)

Actually, it's not impossible- the Hero of Winds being descended from the Hero of Time is impossible, but reincarnations can occur in any timeline because the hero's spirit is not reincarnated- only the hero's will. It's like how Ganon is able to appear in all three timelines, regardless of his fate in any of the other given two- Demise's will is restoring Ganon or otherwise creating a new version of him. The exact quote is "Yes, surely you are the Hero of Time, reborn". It's merely a figure of speech, one that is very common in Japanese culture where you compare someone's abilities to a legendary figure by saying they are that person reborn. Otherwise, how would Ganon even know that WW Link is a reincaration of the Hero of Time. Where is he getting this magical exposition delivering ability from? Template:Nosig

Alright, here's another one: it's said in TWW the Hero's Shield was worn by the legendary hero, aka OoT Link. But this can't be true, as he never had one in the AT. - Dere 14:50, 17 June 2013 (UTC)

Would it not be possible that he somehow left the shield behind in the AT? And even if he did take it with him, there's more than one Hylian Shield in the universe—they sell them at the Bazaar.

As a side note, it should definitely be mentioned somewhere (trivia section of the Hero's Shield article, perhaps) than the Hylian and Hero's Shields look almost nothing alike. — Hylian King ^[*] 15:07, 17 June 2013 (UTC)

That can't be, he didn't acquire the Hero's Shield it until after he traveled to the CT. The one he had in OoT was the Hylian Shield. - Dere 15:12, 17 June 2013 (UTC)

The Hero's Shield page does mention that the one in WW might have belonged to the Link in The Minish Cap, since it looks almost exactly like his Small Shield. The "Hero" in the name would therefore refer to him, and not the Hero of Time. This would be an in-game mistake by the characters, but not necessarily an out of game mistake (though it did admittedly require a retcon). Setras 16:11, 17 June 2013 (UTC)

A Link Between Worlds typo

I'm playing through ALBW right now, and I spotted a typo. On Kakariko Village, there's a kid at the north, to the east of the cave with the Ropes and a Piece of Heart, the kid says "something something he starting chanting something something", as opposed to "started chanting." Ok, here it is. This is near the start of the game, and I first read this before talking to Osfala (although when I rechecked now, I had already talked to him and started the first dungeon). This is a kid to the north of the northeasternmost house in Kakariko Village (the house with the lady that doesn't want to leave because it's too crowded outside). He's simply called "Boy", and says: "You know that fortune-teller up near the woods? I saw him put on some freaky glasses! Then he starting chatting away, even though no one was there! Weird.
