All-Purpose Bait is an item used in The Wind Waker, and put in the Bait Bag, which can be bought from Beedle as soon as Link has enough Rupees for it. It comes in three-use bundles, and is delectable for many animals in the game,[1] including Pigs, Rats, and Fishmen. The bait itself can be bought from both Beedle and salesmen rats.

This bait can be used on enemies and several animals to draw them nearer. The main purpose of this bait however, is to feed it to the Fishmen so Link can persuade them to draw parts of his map and give him information. It can be used to persuade the large pig (named after the main character), located on Outset Island, to dig in black spots of soil and produce Rupees, hearts, and other rewards. It can also be used to lure salesmen rats out of their Rat Holes and sell things to Link. They sell things such as potions and more All-Purpose Bait.

All-Purpose Bait is also available for purchase via use of the Hand-me Down Tuner option from the Tingle Tuner.
