The Arwing is the title of the spacecraft flown by Fox McCloud in the Nintendo Star Fox series. The ship has many different models such as the Arwing II. The Arwing's relevance to Zelda is as a hidden enemy in Ocarina of Time, which can be unlocked via moving around data. Once found, the Arwing attacks similarly to other flying enemies. However, the Arwing can fire its laser weapons from the Star Fox games.
The Arwing was used to test the flight patterns of Volvagia. It is not known why the Arwing wasn’t removed before release, and it certainly possible to find within the game's code in cartridge form as well as its Nintendo GameCube and Virtual Console counterparts. Certain strings of programming refer to the Arwing as a 'monster-in-a-box' of sorts for treasure chests (not unlike the ice traps). However, there are obviously no treasure chests lying around that perform this behavior, and there is no known way to activate this feature in normal gameplay. On consoles, the Arwing can be accessed with a Gameshark or an Action Replay. The use of a cheat device in the wrong hands is not condoned by the wiki, as it can potentially damage the game or the system.
