Characteristics

Link's Awakening

In Link's Awakening, Beetles appear from a hole in the ground south of Kanalet Castle whenever Link gets close. They can be defeated with a single Sword slash, but endlessly continue appearing from the hole.

Oracle of Seasons

In Oracle of Seasons, Beetles can appear when Link digs a hole using the Shovel.

Oracle of Ages

In Oracle of Ages, Beetles can appear when Link digs a hole using the Shovel.

The Minish Cap

In The Minish Cap, Bettles appear under rocks and grass or when digging with the Mole Mitts. If they grab Link, he will not be able to move until he swings his Sword.
