Template:Place The Bug Rock is a small island inside the Thunderhead, inhabited by a large number of bugs in Skyward Sword. It's also where the minigame run by Strich, called, Bug Heaven occurs.

Appearance and Features

The Bug Rock is a small island whose main inhabitants consist of every type of bug that is found in the game. It features a wide range of habitats suitable for bugs, including a ruined puddle-filled cellar, and a wide variety of flora. The minigame in the area becomes available after Link defeats Bilocyte, freeing Levias from the parasite's control. He can visit the Bug Rock to find Strich, who says that he got lost while flying his Loftwing into a thick fog, and ended up on the island. However, Strich notes that after looking around the island, he came to the conclusion that the island was a bug paradise. The bug enthusiast informs the hero that he decided to use the island as a place to raise and catch bugs.[1]

Bug Heaven

Strich offers to release some of the bugs for Link to catch, and win as prizes in a minigame known as Bug Heaven. However, the game requires Link to have a Bug Net, and there are two levels that can be selected to play in the bug-catching competition. One level is the easier "Bug Beginner" and costs 20 Rupees. The harder level, that was made for the bug-catching masters, costs 50 Rupees and is called "Bug Wrangler".[2]

  1. "Link? I wasn't expecting to see you here. I flew into this thick fog and ended up on this island. But once I got here, I looked around and realized...this is some kind of insect paradise! So I decided to go after my dream and raise a bunch of bugs here. Now I can spend my days catching all the bugs I want! You want to try catching some bugs? I'll release a few for you, so why don't you give it a shot?" — Strich (Skyward Sword)
  2. "I have come up with two levels for my bug-catching competition: an easy Bug Beginner level and a Bug Wrangler level for real bug masters like me. Since you aren't a bug lover, I'll charge you 20 Rupees for the Bug Beginner level and 50 for the Bug Wrangler level. Do you want in on this?" — Strich (Skyward Sword)
