Faron is a water dragon appearing in Skyward Sword. A servant of the goddess Hylia, Faron lives in Lake Floria in the Faron Province, a region which she has protected since ancient times.[1]
Biography
Link is directed to see Faron by Yerbal, an aged Kikwi. He tells Link not to mention his name, as the dragon's location in Lake Floria is supposed to be a secret. He also mentions that she is "persnickety," a fact Link confirms when she does not believe he could be the Hero of the Goddess at their first meeting. Upon Link's arrival in Lake Floria, a Parella named Jellyf asks if he can help Faron, and takes Link to her. She has been attacked by Ghirahim, who wounded her and left her to die. She sits in a tub of Sacred Water, and asks Link to retrieve more from Skyview Spring because her water has "lost its spark." When he does, she becomes healthy once again, and, now far larger than Link, she directs him to the Ancient Cistern to find the first Sacred Flame.
