Hyrule Castle (Theme)

The Hyrule Castle theme, also known as Farewell Hyrule King, is a frequently recurring song in the Legend of Zelda series. It is commonly used as a leitmotif for the King of Hyrule.

Overview

A Link to the Past

Hyrule Castle plays in Hyrule Castle.

The Wind Waker

The first version is when meeting Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule for the first time.

The second version is Farewell Hyrule King, played in the ending cutscene. It also quotes the Dungeon theme from The Legend of Zelda. It is on piano.

Four Swords Adventures

It is played in Hyrule Castle stages.

The Minish Cap

There is the usual Hyrule Castle Theme in Hyrule Castle

The first few notes are a jingle when King Daltus appears.

Dark Hyrule Castle is a special remix.

Twilight Princess

Hyrule Castle is the final dungeon. There are two versions, which increasingly quote Ganon's Theme.

A Link Between Worlds

It is once again played in Hyrule Castle. The first version when at peace only quotes the first few notes, but the version when at war is the familiar one.

It is also reversed in Lorule Castle.

Breath of the Wild

It is not played in Hyrule Castle, which instead uses an original theme in a time signature of 5/4. This one has a variable mix for the exterior (which quotes the Overworld Theme) and the interior (which quotes Zelda's Lullaby). Both versions quote Ganon's Theme and Ballad of the Wind Fish.

However, it is played when King Rhoam reveals himself, and in several of the Memories.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity

It is played in a cutscene "The Divine Princess and the Five Champions." The Hyrule Castle stages use the theme from Breath of the Wild.
