The area to the east of Clock Town, and the place where the final temple resides.

When Gyorg was defeated, and Link had revived Great Bay, he set out to the east, to the land of Ikana. He used Epona to get over the fences and vanquish any enemies he met on the way. When he had gotten to a cliff, Link met a ghostly ghoul who when showed the Garo's Mask, made a tree appear for Link to hookshot. The ghoul also warned Link of what was to come by wearing the mask. When Link got to the canyon, he was stopped short of another, yet taller cliff. Using the Ice Arrows, he froze the octoroks and quickly used his hookshot to get up to the top. What Link found was a whole different story. This land was cursed.

Link followed a dried-out river to a cave, which held a spring. His first step showed a different answer. A ghost had appeared, and set Link under a curse, which was slowly draining his health. Link recognized the ghost as Flat's Brother, Sharp. Link knew the only way to soothe Sharp's mind was to play the Song of Storms. Upon doing so, Sharp is healed and allows the waters to flow again. With the waters flowing, the Music Box House came to life and the Gibdos disappeared. Link noticed a girl, who looked extremely troubled. When the girl saw Link, she quickly ran inside and locked the door. Link used a bomb to lure her out and then quickly dashed inside. The only way to go was downstairs. As Link was going down, he heard a sound from the closet. When he opened it, he discovered the girl’s father. He had been partially turned into a Gibdo. The girl then rushed out of nowhere and protected him. Link knew the solution for releasing a person from a curse. He then played the Song of Healing, which turned the girl's father back to normal, healing him of the curse. The girl, whose name was Pamela, had now been reunited with her father. A mask had dropped on the floor, in the likeness of a Gibdo.

Link saw that where he needed to go was toward a castle, known as The Ancient Castle of Ikana. Unfortunately, when he arrived there, it was blocked off. Link noticed that there was indeed an alternate route, but it wasn’t one he actually preferred to follow. The only way he could go was Beneath the Well. On arrival, he found Gibdos guarding the entrances into other rooms. He put on the Gibdo Mask, and decided to talk to them. Each of them had a desire, and only when given it were they going to move. Link didn’t know if he had all the items that the Gibdos asked for, but luckily he was able to find them in other rooms, allowing him to move on past Gibdos. He finally reached the end of the confusing maze, and his hard work did not go unrewarded. In the final room, Link found a chest. Inside it: The Mirror Shield. Using the Mirror Shield, Link positioned himself directly in front of a ray of sunlight and aimed at the block, making it vanish. The route to the Ancient Palace was clear.
