Kagoron is a Goron that appears in Spirit Tracks.

Biography

Kagoron is the Mountain Goddess Messenger. He appears as a normal Goron, but is covered in ash due to the fact he is always on the mountain during prayer.[1]

Upon arriving at the Mountain Goddess's altar, Kagoron will commend Link for his bravery, but will also inform him that the altar is a sacred place for Gorons.[2] After Link asks him how to access the Fire Sanctuary,[3] he notices that Link is a train engineer,[4] Kagoron will ask the young hero to descend the mountain with him.[5] Upon returning to Goron Village, the mountain goddess's messenger gives Link a freight car to help him haul Mega Ice from the Anouki Village to put out the fires at Goron Village.[6]Once Link has access to Dark Ore Mine, Kagoron will send him a letter that has a map leading to a treasure in the mine.[7]

  2. "Hmmm? Who is this strange face before me? This is a sacred place of the Gorons! You cannot just come here on a whim! Hmm... I see you are still a child. Tell me, did you travel here by yourself?... I must salute your bravery, young stranger." — Kagoron (Spirit Tracks)
  3. "You wish to hear about the Fire Sanctuary? Unfortunately, the way there is hidden to us. Only the elder would be able to tell you that secret. Do you wish to meet him?" — Kagoron (Spirit Tracks)
  4. "But first... You are an engineer, are you not? Those who drive trains have a special aura about them. I can see it on you!" — Kagoron (Spirit Tracks)
  5. "...But moving on! Your train may come in handy. But let us descend the mountain so we can speaki n peace. I have some work to do first, so I will meet you down there. You go ahead and get your train ready!" — Kagoron (Spirit Tracks)
  6. "This is the favor I require of you, young stranger. Use the freight car to bring back something cold enough to cool the lava. Go talk to the merchants in the various villages. They may be able to help you." — Kagoron (Spirit Tracks)
  7. "Hi, little engineer! How has your freight car been holding up? Things here have been peaceful, and the mountain is silent. Thanks for all your work! Here is a map I drew as a young Goron. Use it to find some treasure I hid in the Dark Ore Mine as a young one. I cannot remember where I hid it. The hints on the map might help you find it though. Hope to see you soon!" — Kagoran (Spirit Tracks)
