Librarian

The Librarian is a character featured in the A Link to the Past comic by Shotaro Ishinomori. He lives in Kakariko Village and is in charge of the nearby Library.
Biography
When Link returns to Kakariko Village to find clues about the remaining two Pendants of Virtue,[1] he finds the Library has been set on fire by soldiers.[2] Link learns that the Librarian, who Link must speak to according to Sahasrahla,[3] is trapped inside the flames.[4] The young hero pours a bucket of water on him and barges in to successfully save the Librarian. Inside the Library, the Librarian theorizes that the soldiers might have been after the Book of Mudora,[5] and explains that it is the key to the ancient Hylian Language which mentions that the hero will stand in the desert holding said book.[6] Link takes the Book of Mudora and mentions how Sahasrahla had told him the Pendant of Power was in desert ruins,[7] leading the Librarian to claim Link as the legendary Hero of Hyrule and calmly leaving the book in the young hero's hands.[8]
Later on in the comic, Link learns from the Librarian and the rest of his friends that all approaches to Hyrule Castle are blocked by Agahnim's soldiers. [9] The Librarian then comes up with the idea of making a hot air balloon to carry him into the castle, and he, Sahasrahla's Wife, and Sahasrahla's Grandson begin to build it using the Librarian's plan.[10] The Librarian is then seen once more when Link uses the Comfork in the Dark World to communicate with Sahasrahla and the rest of his friends, where the Librarian comments he is glad to hear that Linkis safe.[11]
