Template:Character The Lumberjacks, A. Bumpkin, B. Bumpkin, and Q. Bumpkin, can be found to the north of Kakariko Village in Template:ALTTP.

The Twin Lumberjacks, A. Bumpkin and B. Bumpkin normally spend their time cutting trees in the Lost Woods, but due to the fog that covers the forest they are instead found cutting a large tree near their house on the northeasten edge of the woods. One of the brothers believes there is something odd about it as he cuts it.[1] Later on in the game, after facing Agahnim for the first time, they stop cutting the tree and cannot be found there any longer, presumably having moved back into the woods after the fog has cleared. If Link charges into it with the Pegasus Boots, the leaves will fall and Link will see that the tree stump is hollow, with a pit leading downwards. When he falls down the hole, he ends up in a cave with a Piece of Heart inside.

Q. Bumpkin only appears in the Game Boy Advance version of the game, and remains in their house throughout the game, not having the strength to cut trees.[2] In this version, the Riddle Quest can be started in the Lumberjacks' house if Link speaks to Q. Bumpkin after the player has collected ten Medals of Courage in Four Swords.

Trivia

  • The Japanese word for lumberjack is pronounced "Kikori" (木樵), which is an anagram of the word Kokiri. This, combined with the green apparel of the Lumberjacks, leads some to believe that they were in fact the inspiration for the race in Template:OOT.
