Mighty Darknuts are captain-rank Darknuts that are stronger and more heavily-armored than other Darknuts.[2] All Mighty Darknuts are equipped with red capes, which must be burned or cut off before Link can attack the armor straps that hide underneath.
Mighty Darknuts can first be found in the Master Sword's chamber inside Hyrule Castle after Ganondorf has kidnapped Princess Zelda.[3] Two more Mighty Darknuts appear as enemies guarding the door to Puppet Ganon in Ganon's Castle.
Trivia
- Although the Nintendo Gallery mentions that only "some" wear capes,[2] only caped Darknuts are considered to be acceptable for a Mighty Darknut Figurine.
