Stalfos Mages are enemies in Cadence of Hyrule.[1]
Characteristics
Stalfos Mages are a magical variety of Stalfos. They move to the beat of the music on every other beat, their robes flashing one beat before attack and move onto an adjacent tile. When Cadence, Link, Yves, and Zelda stands two spaces in front of them, they will flash again on one beat and growl, signaling that they are about to summon wind to pull the heroes towards them on the next beat. Once the heroes are successfully pulled in, they will attack by lunging towards them on the third beat. They're one of the many enemies that can be summoned by a Sarcophagus.
Trivia
- They behave identically to the Skeleton Mage from Crypt of the NecroDancer.
- They also look nearly identical to the Shrouded Stalfos from Link's Awakening and the Oracle games.
