The Legend of Zelda: Battle of Mirage Castle is the third in a series of Famicom Choose Your Own Adventure gamebooks published on August 1, 1986 by Futabasha.

About

Link and Princess Zelda are now playable characters, but both are played alternately. There are also original gamebook characters such as Fairy Fanny and Ganon's Younger Brother, Demon General Gaia and Princess Zelda's father King Graham II.

Story

English

It is neither the future nor the past. Nor is it the world of the myriad stars scattered in the universe, not on Earth. It's in your heart. A world that exists in fantasy of you who are always dreamy and like to go to the world of adventure. In the corner of the vast world, there is a region named Hyrule. The peace of this region was protected by a mysterious treasure called the Triforce "Golden Triangle". One day, the Great Demon King Ganon, who came from the dark world, robbed Triforce. Therefore, it became a magical place where monsters roam in the Hyrule region. In addition, Princess Zelda of this country was also captured by Ganon and trapped in a labyrinth beneath Death Mountain. The Hyrule region that connects Fengyunkyu. Boy Link came there one day. Knowing Hyrule's predicament, this brave swordfighter boarded the Demon King's stronghold to regain the beautiful Princess and Triforce. After overcoming various crises, he finally rescued Zelda and regained Triforce.

Now, this story is a new adventure that begins here. A fleeting peace in the Hyrule region. Suddenly, it was defeated by a new enemy from the demon world, the demon general Gaia. Gaia, who turned into a black tornado and attacked the kingdom, quickly destroyed the palace in front of King Graham II and robbed Triforce of "wisdom" and "courage". Gaia then divided the stolen Triforce into two parts, a total of four parts, and hid them somewhere in the Hyrule region. Well, Boy Link and Princess Zelda. Since defeating Ganon, the two have been attracted to each other. But the brutal Gaia has cursed them too! curse. It was contained in a crystal ball called a crystal moon. Link is trapped in this crystal ball during the night, and Zelda is trapped during the day. The two switch between dawn and dusk.

それは未来でもなく、過去でもない。 また、地球上でなく、かといって宇宙に散在する無数の星々の中の、いかなる世界の事でもない。 それは君たちの心の中。いつも夢見がちで、冒険の世界に心を翔ばす事の好きな君たちの、空想の中に存在する世界。 その広大な世界の片隅に、ハイラルと名付けられた地方がある。 この地方の平和は、トライフォース「黄金の三角形」と呼ばれる不思議な秘宝によって守られていた。 ある日、闇の世界からやってきた大魔王ガノンが、トライフォースを強奪。 そのためハイラル地方、怪物の徘徊する魔境となった。 さらにこの国の王女ゼルダ姫もガノンにとらえられ、デスマウンテン地下の迷宮に閉じ込められてしまったのだ。 風雲急をつげるハイラル地方。 ある日そこへやってきた少年リンク。 この勇敢な剣士は、ハイラルの苦境を知るや、美しい姫君とトライフォースを取り返すべく、魔王の牙城へと乗り込んでいった。 様々な危機を乗り越え、彼はついにゼルダ姫を救出、トライフォースを取り戻した。

さて、この物語は、ここから始まる新しい冒険だ。 ハイラル地方に訪れた束の間の平和。 それは突如、魔界からやってきた新たなる敵、魔将軍ガイアによって破られた。 黒い竜巻と化し、王国を襲ったガイアは、国王グレアムII世の眼前で、あっという間に宮殿を破壊し、「知恵」と「勇気」のトライフォースを奪い去った。 そして、ガイアは奪ったトライフォースをそれぞれ二つ、合計4つのパーツに分けてハイラル地方のどこかに隠してしまったのだ。 さて、少年リンクとゼルダ姫。 ガノンを倒して以来、二人は惹かれ合っていた。 しかし残忍なガイアは、彼らにも呪いをかけてしまったのだ！ 呪い。 それはクリスタルムーンと呼ばれる水晶球に込められていた。 リンクは夜の間、この水晶球に閉じ込められ、ゼルダは昼の間、閉じ込められる。 二人は夜明けと夕暮れの一瞬に入れ替わる。
