Hello!

Hi, there, ReDead64, and welcome to Zelda Wiki! I noticed that you created an article recently, and I just wanted to inform you that it did not meet our quality standards and was subsequently deleted as a result. I encourage you to read our help guides for information about what is expected of editors.

One tip that I can provide is that if you aren't certain whether or not your page meets our quality standards, you can always feel free to ask at Hyrule Castle, which is the "editor lounge," so to speak. Here, you can pitch pages, ask for input, or even just ask for advice on how to go about making a page which would meet our quality standards. Another option is using our site sandbox for testing out new article ideas.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask any of our currently active staff. Hope you enjoy your stay, and I look forward to editing with you!User:Justin/sig 10:29, 15 April 2014 (UTC)

Removing messages from talk pages

Hey there. I'm sorry to say, but it is against policy to remove messages/content from talk pages for any reason (other than to archive), so the staff of Zelda Wiki have to ask you to refrain from doing so. User:Pakkun/sig 04:29, 16 April 2014 (UTC)

I apologize. I thought it might have been different if it was my profile talk page. ;_;
It's like you guys know everything I do here... ._.
Is it against the rules that I fonted my signature?

— ᏒᎬᎠᎬᎪᎠ64 04:38, 16 April 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Well, you're free to control the content on your User Page, but it's not the case for User Talk Pages. And we kind of do know what you do here, since we have to monitor the Recent Changes. :P
And no, it's not against the rules to "font" your signature, but if you wish to customize it, I recommend using the signature tutorial that I showed you to make the template that you can put into your preferences. And speaking of your signatures, could you sign on the same line that your last bit of message falls on (instead of signing on a completely different line)? It saves up a fair amount of space and makes things clearer when you do so.
Also, it's important to make sure that your sig links to your user page or contributions, so try pipe linking it instead, like: [[User:ReDead64|REPLACEMENT]], and you should be signing with four tildes (~~~~) instead of manually linking as it appears that you're doing. :) User:Pakkun/sig 05:03, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
I did read that page on editing signatures. It seemed complicated, so I got a font app on my iPod and just copy-and-pasted it into my font box. You see, my computer's currently not working, so I do 90% of internet stuff from my phone. I doubt that's against the rules.
Believe it or not, I actually DO use the four tildes. :/
Like right now, I'll just type in four tildes, press Save Changes, and it'll turn into my sig. — ᏒᎬᎠᎬᎪᎠ64 02:01, 17 April 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Hi ReDead64,
We do believe you, we're just making sure. It's our job, after all! About the fonted signature, please copy-paste the following into the "signature" box in your Preferences:
[[User:ReDead64|— ᏒᎬᎠᎬᎪᎠ64]]
That should solve the problem. As Pakkun mentioned, this is called a pipe link. In the first part, you type the actual page you're linking to (your userpage, in this case). The second part defines how the link is displayed. For example, I'm using a pipe link to turn this whole sentence into one big ol' link to the Tingle article.
Hope this helps. — Hylian King [*] 02:46, 17 April 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Heh heh! I think it's awesome that the three biggest admins here all bothered to help li'l old me. Thanks ^_^
I call you the three biggest admins because I literally see your usernames on every talk page. Anyway, I do believe I followed Hylian King's directions right. Let's test it out: — ᏒᎬᎠᎬᎪᎠ64 03:03, 17 April 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Off Topic discussions

Hey, ReDead64. We've noticed that on multiple occasions you've ignored the "Off Topic" warning on certain pages. (This one:)

Template:OT

So I feel the need to ask you to cease and desist from adding to or creating any discussions that are ultimately irrelevant to improving the article at hand. Discussions about theories like with the Guru-Guru and Wolf Link talk pages are prime examples of these. These discussions are meant to be handled on a forum instead of Zelda Wiki as, like I mentioned before, they do nothing to discuss or improve the page; they only talk about the topic/subject of the page. So I hope you understand why these contributions aren't really welcomed and I thank you for your future cooperation. User:Pakkun/sig 06:49, 25 April 2014 (UTC)

Alright. So, there's nothing on the entire Zelda Wiki where we can just talk and make conversations? If not, there really should be, as some sort of community thing. Just some sort of community conversation page. — ᏒᎬᎠᎬᎪᎠ64 18:06, 26 April 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Yeah, there's nothing really like that around here since usually that stuff is left better for all of the Zelda forums there already are, and it's not really practical for a wiki. :) --Dany36 (talk) 18:07, 26 April 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Someone should really make something like that. I'm serious, someone go on the Milk Bar and ask the admins if we could make that happen. >_> — ᏒᎬᎠᎬᎪᎠ64 18:14, 26 April 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Responding to Ancient Posts

On a similar note to the topic above, I've noticed that you have been responding to posts from years ago. Half of the time the people you are responding to haven't been active for years. Generally, if the post this more than 1 month old, it's doubtful that anyone still cares about it. Try looking at the time stamp to see if a post is worth responding to.
