"A Pretty Stone and Five Golden Apples" is a Shrine Quest in Tears of the Kingdom.[1]
Overview
After defeating the Phantom Ganon inside the Great Deku Tree, Damia can be found with a Mysterious Crystal near the eastern entrance to Korok Forest. When spoken to, he expresses how pretty the Crystal is.[2][3] If Link asks for it, Damia will initially refuse, but he reveals he will give it up should Link do something for him.[4] If Link agrees to help, Damia claims he will relinquish the Crystal if he brings him five Golden Apples.[5]
To help, Damia points Link toward Mido Swamp, where Golden Apples are known to grow.[6] He warns Link of both Monsters and the Swamp's Bottomless Bog.[7] However, he does not care whether the Golden Apples come from Mido Swamp or not.[8] Following this conversation, "A Pretty Stone and Five Golden Apples" will begin.
Once Link is in possession of at least five Golden Apples, he can return to give them to Damia.[9] Upon receiving the Golden Apples, Damia will allow Link to take the Mysterious Crystal.[10][11]
The next phase of "A Pretty Stone and Five Golden Apples" is activated by either interacting with the Mysterious Crystal or activating the Travel Point of the Pupunke Shrine. Doing so will cause him to hear a Mysterious Voice, which offers him a Light of Blessing if he can bring the Crystal to the Shrine of Light.[12][13] A beam of Light then appears connecting the Mysterious Crystal and the Shrine. After bringing the Crystal to the Shrine, the Mysterious Voice will acknowledge Link and honors its promise.[14] The Mysterious Crystal will then grow in size, revealing itself to be the entrance to the Pupunke Shrine.[15] Afterwards, "A Pretty Stone and Five Golden Apples" will be completed.
