Biography

Breath of the Wild

Hunnie is a young Hylian girl who lives with her parents, Hagie and Ruli. After Link completes the "From the Ground Up" Side Quest, she and her family will move to Tarrey Town together, as they believe it could improve her health.[4] While Hunnie has started to improve, her parents have had difficulty finding something that she will eat, which leaves her stuck in bed most days.[5][6]

When Link speaks to Hunnie while she is weak, she will excitedly greet him and ask if he is a traveler.[7] When Link confirms that he is, she then asks if it is fun.[8] If Link tells her that it is, Hunnie reveals that she wants to travel on her own when she grows up.[9]

After this initial encounter, Hunnie will ask Link to tell her a story if he approaches her.[10][11] When Link asks how she is feeling, Hunnie will respond that she is fine.[12] If Link asks Hunnie what she likes to eat, she reveals that while she hates most Foods,[13][14] she will eat cake if he offers some to her.[15] If Link asks if she has heard of the Great Calamity, she becomes annoyed and calls it boring.[16] When Link leaves her, she tells him that she does not want him to be there anyway.[17]

At night, Link can listen in on Ruli and Hagie discussing Hunnie through an open window.[18] Hagie recounts that they have looked all over the world for a cake that Hunnie could eat, but they have yet to find anything so far.[19] Ruli declares that she would sell her soul to a monster if it meant finding a cake to cure Hunnie.[20] This activates the "A Parent's Love" Side Quest.

To complete the Side Quest, Link needs to bring a Monster Cake to Ruli.[21] She gives the cake to Hunnie right away,[22][23] after which Hunnie can be seen running through her front door. Ruli reveals that she ate the entire Monster Cake and that she is finally healthy again.[24] As a reward, she gives Link a Gold Rupee.[25]

Once she has regained her energy, Hunnie wakes up at 8:00 AM every day. She immediately runs outside and sits with Hagie on the cliff overlooking the Torin Wetland.[26] At 8:00 PM, she gets up and slowly walks back to her house with her father, and she goes to sleep at around 9:00 PM.
