Loone is a character in The Legend of Zelda series.[2][3]
Biography
Breath of the Wild
Loone is a Hylian woman who resides at the camp on Puffer Beach. When Link first encounters her, she will be sitting at the Cooking Pot next to an Ancient Orb.
If Link speaks to Loone, he will overhear her telling the Ancient Orb how smooth and gorgeous its skin is, referring to it by the name Roscoe.[4] Noticing that Link is watching them, Loone teases Roscoe for being shy.[5] She encourages Roscoe to show himself off.[6] Realizing that Link appears to want something, Loone becomes fearful that he is after Roscoe.[7] She assures Roscoe that she will never let someone take it, claiming to be in love with it.[8]
Quietly, Loone admits that she lied to Roscoe.[9] Much more loudly, she proclaims that she wants to see Guardians.[10] In particular, she wants to see Guardian Skywatchers, Guardian Scouts, and Guardian Stalkers.[11] She specifies that she wants to see active ones, not like the ones on Puffer Beach that have ceased functioning.[12] She admits that if she were to ever see them, she may abandon Roscoe.[13] However, she soothes Roscoe's worries, saying that getting close to a Guardian would be too dangerous.[14] She decides that seeing them in person is simply a dream.[15] After this, the "Guardian Slideshow" Shrine Quest will begin.
When Link speaks to Loone again, he can hear her repeating her desire to see Guardians to Roscoe while she comforts him.[16] If Link has taken Pictures of all three Guardians, he can show them to Loone.[17] She begins to tell Link to not bother her and Roscoe, but she stops once she sees the Picture of the Guardian Skywatcher.[18]
Loone is shocked to see the Picture, stating that the beauty of the Guardian Skywatcher makes her feel alive with terror.[19] When she sees a Guardian Scout, she calls it adorable, noting that it appears vicious for its small size.[20] Now that Link has shown her two types, Loone begins to realize that Link must have a third Picture.[21] Seeing the Guardian Stalker Picture, Loone has trouble believing it, and she exclaims that it is "exhilaratingly scary."[22] After seeing all three Pictures, she remarks that it was a joy.[23]
Loone demands the Sheikah Slate from Link, as she wants to look at the Pictures everyday.[24] When Link refuses, Loone will be disappointed, but she resolves herself to burn the Pictures into her mind.[25] When Link asks if he can take Roscoe, Loone allows it, claiming to be over it.[26] After seeing the Pictures, Loone is now obsessed with Guardians, and they are all she can see when she closes her eyes.[27]
Afterwards, Loone will stand by the broken down Guardian Stalker near her camp.[28] When Link speaks to her, she states that he has inspired her imagination.[29] Since she saw Link's Guardian Pictures, she has spent her time daydreaming.[30] She also claims to not remember Roscoe.[31]
