Ancient Orbs,(BotWBreath of the Wild | EoWEchoes of Wisdom)[1][2] also known as Precious Orbs,(BotWBreath of the Wild)[3] are recurring Objects in The Legend of Zelda series. Ancient Orbs go unnamed in Tears of the Kingdom.

Location and Uses

Breath of the Wild

Ancient Orbs are spherical pieces of Ancient Technology constructed by the Sheikah 10,000 years ago. They come in two sizes. The first size is smaller, and Link is capable of moving them by picking them up. In addition, they come in a larger size which can be pushed, but usually must be moved by alternative means. Placing Ancient Orbs inside Concave Slots will activate Ancient Technology, such as revealing Ancient Shrines or opening doors.

Several Ancient Orbs are given specific names. These Orbs are involved in Shrine Quests throughout Hyrule. They are as follows:

Ancient Orbs are mysterious artifacts found in the Eternal Forest during the Main Quest "The Prime Energy and Null". When summoned as an Echo, Ancient Orbs have an Echo cost of one.
