Eventide Island is an island located in the southeast Necluda Sea. A Monster Stronghold has been built upon Toronbo Beach North, and the Eventide Island Chasm has opened up on Toronbo Beach as a result of the Upheaval, leading down into the Necluda Sea Depths.[4] At the Back of the Island, Eventide Island Cave has formed and become a hideout for the Pirates laying siege to settlements along the shores of the Necluda Sea.[5] Fallen Debris litters the Island, having fallen from the Sky Island patrolled by a King Gleeok in the Sky above.

During the "Seeking the Pirate Hideout" Side Quest, the Monster-Control Crew scout Sesami asks Link to locate and clear out the three Monster Strongholds on Eventide Island.[6]

The following section is not part of the Zelda canon and should not be taken as such.

The Quest "Searching Eventide Island" appears on Eventide Island upon completion of the Scenario "The Future of Hyrule". To complete it, the Warriors must provide a search party with 25 Mighty Thistles, 25 Armoranths, 20 Big Hearty Truffles, 125 Wood, and 3 Hinox Trophies to help them search Eventide Island for parts that can be used to revive Terrako.[7] When the Quest is finished, the search party successfully finds five Terrako Components.[8]

Trivia

  • With the exception of Cloyne's Treasure Chest mini-game in Lurelin Village, Eventide Island is the only location in Breath of the Wild where Treasure Chests respawn after being opened and looted.
  • In Breath of the Wild, with the exception of the Hinox, Monsters on Eventide Island always regenerate once Link leaves the Island, regardless of whether or not there has been a Blood Moon. Furthermore, they are not subject to Enemy Progression, which upgrades Monsters based on the number of Monsters that Link has killed. Any Monster killed on Eventide Island will not add to that counter.[verification needed]
  • Eventide Island and its associated Shrine Quest in Breath of the Wild are a reference to Link's Awakening and Koholint Island.
