The Stamp Guy is a Hylian who operates the Stamp rally throughout Hyrule. He mentions three members of his family: Stamp Mama, Stamp Papa, and their Dog Stampy.[1] He appears by parachuting down onto the Stamp Stations that he has set up,[3] which only happens when Princess Zelda completes a Stamp card and starts a new one.
As a child, Stamp Mama would give the Stamp Guy a Stamp on a card whenever he completed his chores, culminating in a reward when the card was filled. This sparked his love of Stamps.[4] At some point, the Stamp Guy encountered Condé on Hebra Mountain. However, Condé mistook him for a Monster and chased him away.[5]
When Zelda interacts with a Stamp Station for the first time, the Stamp Guy will float down to her on his parachute.[6] He introduces himself to Zelda, and he explains the purpose of his Stamp Stations.[7] Since he loves Stamps and Stamp rallies, he has established Stands for a rally all across Hyrule.[8] He then asks Zelda if she is ready for the rally.[9] If Zelda says that she is not, the Stamp Guy thinks he misheard and asks her to repeat herself.[10] Once Zelda confirms that she is excited, he gives her the First Stamp Card,[11] which he made himself.[12]
The Stamp Guy believes that Zelda will have fun during the rally, and he encourages her to collect her first Stamp.[13] Afterwards, he congratulates her for doing so.[14] He encourages her to seek out more Stamp Stations, though he reveals that they are not underwater, within buildings, or inside Caves.[15] He then promises her a reward if she fills in the First Stamp Card.[16] He ends their conversation with a cheer for the Stamp rally.[17] If Zelda speaks to him again, he reveals that he created the rally so he could share his love of Stamps.[18]
From this point on, Stamp Guy will appear again whenever Zelda completes one of her Stamp card. If Zelda interacts with a Stamp Stand that she has already collected a Stamp from, she will hear the voice of Stamp Guy telling her that she already has the Stamp.[19]
