Sinking Lure

Is it really possible to "legalize" the sinking lure by talking to the owner? Dany36 17:13, 19 March 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

What? Do you want to fish with a different lure? ...Hey, what's that? What? You just picked it up? Usually, the rules says you can't use one of those. I mean, usually. But, what the heck...
— Fishing Hole Guy

Yes, in a way. Although you will still be punished for using it.Emma (Talk) 18:44, March 19, 2009 (UTC)

Deletion Rationale

I actually wanted to apply the delete tag to this page and every "lure" article, but I didn't feel like ACTUALLY adding the tag to each one, so just pretend they're all there.

Anyway, I propose that this article and all of the lure articles be deleted. They more often than not contain even less information on their respective subject than is found on Fishing, and there can't be enough content for each lure page to justify it being its own article. Honestly. --Ando 15:53, 22 May 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Clarification: By "Delete" I mean "have Lure Fishing redirect to Fishing and have each of the lures redirect to Fishing#Twilight Princess". Just so we're clear. --Ando 16:00, 22 May 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I agree; 'Lure Fishing' should be merged with the 'Fishing' page. The 'Lure Fishing' page doen't contain enough information to be a page on it's own and a merge would make it better for a reader, the knowagle would be in one direct place. --Jzime 17:09 23 October 2008

NO! Merge them to this article. We've merged way too much into the fishing article. The "Fishing Hole" for one thing, that is a place and has no business redirecting to the fishing article. As does the "Fishing Pond".Emma (Talk) 19:15, October 23, 2008 (UTC)
I'm with Matt; we need to make a decision on how to organize the information on Fishing (the action, plus variants such as this), Fishing Hole and other related places, and fishing related items and objects (such as lures). Perhaps a detailed proposed plan of action would help? Adam [ talk ] 10:43, 13 December 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]
This is a really stupid answer, but what if there was a Fishing Template? It could hold everything which Ando said, plus more... User:Austin2862/sig 20:17, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
It's not stupid; that could work. I'll give it some thought. Adam [ talk ] 11:22, 10 January 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

From "Fishing Journal"

All 3 sentences here would be better off as just a section of the Fishing page. I can't see anyway to expand it without repeating info from Fish, Fishing, Fishing Hole and whatever other pages on the matter lurk around here. Axiomist (talk) 11:50, 29 August 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I agree. I don't see why this was made as a separate page in the first place. Triforce (T C) 12:19, 29 August 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Yes, I agree. This definitely needs merged.Mandi Talk 13:38, 29 August 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

From Fishing Rods

So umm, since I placed Fishing for a featured article, anyone disagree with putting this content into that article? Axiomist (talk) 02:51, 31 October 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Yes, I think it would be a nice addition to the article.Mandi Talk 04:14, November 1, 2009 (UTC)
Meeeerrrggeee!! I'll fix it up once it gets merged so that it's up to the same quality as the Fishing article. Dany36 04:16, 1 November 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
AXI'S GONE MERGE CRAZY AGAIN! j/k :P Yeah, merge. Triforce (T C) 04:18, 1 November 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Yep and done, now review her up, grab a couple of ice cold Great Fairy's tears and cast your line vote, for/against/neutral here. Axiomist (talk) 09:31, 1 November 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

For the sinking Lure, does it mean on land or in water? Lord of the Stalfos Creatures - Stalfos Meeting Chamber 23:29, 8 February 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Basically, the sinking lure sinks deeper in the water than the regular lure. This allows Link to catch fish he normally would not be able to.--Knife 01:00, 10 February 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Splitting the Fishing article

Alright, so I've been working on my sandbox on improving this article, but while doing so I thought it would be better to split a lot of its sections. The reason why I'm bringing this up here is because the fishing article is currently a featured article, and one of the concerns back when it was trying to be featured is that it lacked enough content to be considered as one....or something like that. Either way, stripping it of most of its content could possibly make others think that it could damage its status as a featured article, although I like to think the Fishing sections alone have enough content on its own to support it as a featured article. :P So I want to know if you guys are good with me going ahead and splitting the Lures, Fishing Rod, and Fish Journal sections into their own pages, or if we should just keep the sections there but improve them with what I have on my sandbox? Comments plz. --Dany36 17:09, 9 March 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I'm all for splitting them. — Hylian King [*] 17:17, 9 March 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]
