Basically, its an upgrade from the flippers, although they are not the same items since that one is also found in OoA. However, I don't think a merge is particularly justified just going by the function. Might as well merge Magic Sword and Master Sword since they are fundamentally the same item, right? Nerushi

Ah, but see, the Magical Sword article isn't at all stubby like this one. Still, I agree with Nerushi, though. One item is a flipper, the other is a suit. That makes them different enough for me. This article isn't that stubby. Besides, isn't the Mermaid Suit a lot like the Zora Armor as well? Would it be a good idea to merge it into that article? Not really. Personally, I'm fine with the way things are now, but I guess I don't really care either way. Gotta agree with Nerushi and HK. The Zora Armor basically acts like the flippers too and we didn't merge that. :P Dany36 13:12, 10 February 2011 (EST)

No merge either here, it actually acts very different to the flippers, controls are entirely different, allows for entirely unique gameplay (using the sword underwater, etc.) about the only thing similar is the Zora Armor really.
