Dungeon Elements

Hey there, Brainiac Adam,
I guess I don't really need to explain why I'm here, I'm just writing to you now so that our little conflict can happen on one page instead of page edit summaries :P
First off, I'd like to say good job with the grind work for adding the elements to each dungeon. Well done, it makes the articles look that much better. Secondly, I apologize for the somewhat rude way I undid some of your edits, which is something that really should be limited to admins and patrollers anyways. So for that I am sorry.
However, you do have to understand why I did what I did. When looking at your edits, I sometimes had a little trouble understanding why you think certain elements belong certain pages, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. For example, I couldn't figure out why you think the Forsaken Fortress is a water and an earth dungeon. Now this is just me, but it seems like it would be better if the elements template were kept exclusively for the dungeons in which the representative template is obvious, like for the dungeons in OoT. Comparatively, most of the dungeons in 2D Zeldas don't have any defined element, to a point where determining whether or not a certain dungeon represents a certain element is a matter of opinion and point of view, in a place that should be kept as factual and accurate as possible. For example, you believe that the Catfish's Maw is a water dungeon because of its surroundings, but I think it isn't because the actual dungeon itself isn't water-related at all. (By the way, it's possible that the person that put it on the Water Dungeon page was mistaken). So I hope you understand my point of view, and if this sounds like a lecture, it wasn't my intention.
I'm thinking, we could start a conversation about this at Hyrule Castle and see what the admins and the rest of the community thinks (if they care enough to get involved). That way we could define some rules as to when the Element template should be added to an article and when it shouldn't, and prevent conflicts like these from happening in the future. What do you think?

Element pages
Not to disheart you, but the element dungeon pages (such as Water Dungeon, so on) will likely be deleted sometime in the future. The pages are not very useful to have, and it falls on the same issues that the element field had before. - Midoro (T C) 23:52, 8 November 2015 (UTC)
