Image Templates

First and foremost, I'm Cip, one of the admins here - how are ya? You've been here since January and we've never crossed paths... what's going on with that. Anyway, I noticed that you have used a defunct template on this Misha Model.png&curid=34710&diff=260792&oldid=232870&rcid=268539 image file in order to link to the game the picture is representing. In reality, all you have to do is select the game and licensing in the dropdown menus below the image on the "file upload" screen. This is a very fast, and simpler way to do the same - except now the source, game, and summary are all in the same box. Check it out here and try it out next time! See ya around. :) — ciprianotalk 21:04, 14 April 2011 (EDT)

PH/ST Uploads

Hey there, Max.

Just dropping in to congratulate you for all your recent efforts. Your fantastic work with the Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks images is much appreciated! I expect to see your name on every PH/ST file on the Wiki by the time you're done! :P

So... that's pretty much it. See you around! — Hylian King [*] 08:36, 19 June 2011 (EDT)

I was going to send him a message first, Hylian King! Stupid page errors stopped me, though. Anyway, great job, Max. I like the fact that you're using the correct template. One thing, though. Since you're going through those images anyway, can you just add a small summary for them? It would help users find out what the image is about or what it's related to.
Anyway, keep it up! If you have any questions, just put them here. — Abdul [T] [C] [S]  12:34, 24 June 2011 (EDT)
Thanks! I'll try adding a summary when I can, but I may sometimes skip on it when I'm not sure about the image. User:Max 12/sig 02:43, 27 June 2011 (EDT)
It doesn't have to be too complicated. Just say who's in the image what's happening in it. If it's official artwork, or a sprite or something, say so. If you're still uncertain, go down to "File Links" and see how the image is used in the articles. I've never played the Oracle games, but by following the links at the bottom, I was able to make this edit. Again, it doesn't have to be very complicated! — Abdul [T] [C] [S]  07:53, 28 June 2011 (EDT)
Okay then, I'll do it. But right now I'll focus on categorizing the uncategorized images, so I'll focus on it later, if you don't mind. User:Max 12/sig 08:21, 28 June 2011 (EDT)

File summaries (the lack thereof)

You are doing a great job at simplifying the coding of the file pages, those edits are both necessary and beneficial! But could you please try to add info on the summary field of each of these files, please? Even if the file subject is too obvious, these fields should be filled wherever they're blank. Thanks in advance! --K2L (Interrogatory) 11:46, 19 July 2011 (EDT)

Please try to understand that since I'm categorizing all the images of the canon games, this is over 10,000 images to work with. If I stopped to add a summary right now, it would slow me down way too much, since that would break the speed I'm getting from specialization.
That said, I will try to add summaries, but I would appreciate it if you freed me from the duty to do so. After all, I actually plan to add the summaries after my current work is finished. But if you think this is something I should do right now, even after hearing about my situation, then tell me so. I will take the task up and do it anyways.
Hope you don't think badly of me because of this, because words in the internet can often come off as rude when they were never meant to be. User:Max 12/sig 00:27, 20 July 2011 (EDT)
I'm already used to cold-honesty replies (some people in this wiki and other sites gave me experience already), so no retraints on your reply's tone =P. It seems like you already have lots of work by simply editing these file pages, so I don't want to give you extra pressure. I've added the summaries for you anyway, though not all of them. --K2L (Interrogatory) 00:41, 20 July 2011 (EDT)
Thanks for understanding. Even though I don't want to sound like I'm giving you a duty or something, but you could add the summaries for me, maybe? If not, I'll just return to plain categorization and do it later.User:Max 12/sig 00:46, 20 July 2011 (EDT)
It's not like I really have a choice. You can simply keep making the categorizations since I know that's tiresome enough (with thousands of images, no less). Being a patroller myself, the toughest procedures correspond to me, so you can ignore me for now =). Sorry for bothering you. --K2L (Interrogatory) 00:53, 20 July 2011 (EDT)

Once again, thanks for understanding.User:Max 12/sig 00:56, 20 July 2011 (EDT)

Welcome back!

It's always nice to see hard-working users make a comeback. See you around the wiki! :) — Hylian King [*] 07:22, 11 September 2012 (EDT)

Thanks, but the real hard-working users are people like you. I'm surprised you're still here working tirelessly. I'm only here for a little while, though. A lot of things seem to have changed. See you around, then! ^_^ User:Max 12/sig 19:41, 13 September 2012 (EDT)

Magic Ring GIFs

Before you tag them all with Imdel, just letting you know you can save yourself the trouble. As long as they're all replaced we'll be able to see them from Special:UnusedFiles. Wanted to tell you earlier but I forgot... — Hylian King [*] 23:32, 23 October 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Oh, okay. Just thought tagging them with Imdel will make it clearly known that these files have been superseded. User:Max 12/sig 23:34, 23 October 2012 (UTC)
In any other situation it helps the admins a lot when the images are properly tagged for deletion. But when there's a mass-upload of GIF-replacing PNGs are and we're aware of it, it's not particularly necessary. — Hylian King [*] 23:43, 23 October 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
