Just a bit of advice

Hi there. Just some advice here, when adding images to an article, it's best to add them to a gallery. Because, it looks really messy when they're scattered all over the page ;PMandi Talk 19:34, 9 September 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

And tho we appreciate getting alot more images, adding one for each block of text isn't necessary. Axiomist (talk) 03:58, 10 September 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Ok, we gotta talk about the images, a few on the page is fine, but if you intend to do a text dump with images, that's another matter. The best thing to do is try to find other pages to upload them to, like I put the shovel pic in the shovel page. pages for the Dark World, Flute, etc would be able to use an image or two more. Um...It would have been better if you would have discussed your revision plans on the Potion article's talk page before majorly rewriting it. The way you currently have the page formatted may not have been the best idea.Mandi Talk 23:15, 11 September 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

In other words, we don't really like the changes there. I understand most articles are broken down by game, but this one becomes a redundant wall of text in that format. Also on the talk pages for Medicine and Water of Life we mentioned the better thing to do was expand those sections of the potion page. I know Potions was an ugly page to begin with... It had been shaping up a little from what it was. Axiomist (talk) 23:51, 11 September 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Potion page

Hey! We appreciate all the hard work that you put to the Potion page, but when making such HUGE makeover to pages, it's best to have a discussion about it on the article's talk page to know how to go about it and ensure what looks best for the article. Right now, the way that you set up the Potion page makes space for redundant information since it's grouped by games, which means the information is scattered all over the place. We'll revert the page back to how it was, but please feel free to give us any ideas on how to make the Potion article better, and don't hesitate to expand on the information that's already there! :) Thanks! Lorule Lake

On this, and with other topics with no official name, it's preferred to have a discussion to determine a usable name instead of making one up whole-cloth. The way it's being used now gives the impression that Lorule Lake is the official name of the location, which is not backed up by the game, to my knowledge.KrytenKoro (talk) 19:01, 29 July 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]

OK. Actually, I was wondering where that & many other names came from because I haven't seen many of them in A Link Between Worlds or in A Link to the Past. I found the names Lorule Lake & Ku's Domain as the habitats on Ku's page but I have never seen any of those names in ALBW. Other names I question are the following:

1. Ice Lake from ALttP (never referred to as this in the game)

2. The Dark World version of Death Mountain in ALttP also being called Death Mountain (just because Lorule's version of Death Mountain is also called Death Mountain doesn't mean it applies to the Dark World's version too; the Dark World's Skeleton Forest is called Skull Woods in ALBW just like the dungeon in the woods & the Dark World's Swamp of Evil is called the Misery Mire in ALBW which the dungeon in the Swamp of Evil in ALttP was named)

3. Plains of Ruin in ALttP (very cool name but I don't see it referred to as that in the game at all)

My one last question is does the Prima guide count as an official source since Nintendo doesn't release its own guides anymore & guides in the past were used as sources to names? I have the Prima guide to ALBW and I can check it before the page is deleted to confirm if Lorule Lake is used if the Prima guide is considered to be an official source.
