Vaati Transfigured
Vaati Transfigured is a Boss in The Minish Cap.[1]
Characteristics
After enough damage is dealt to Vaati Reborn, Vaati transforms into his second form, Vaati Transfigured. He floats around the room, occasionally causing rocks to fall down, and conjuring purple spikes around the battlefield, or electrifying himself before shooting energy balls at Link. Four of the eight orbs that surround Vaati Transfigured must be struck with Arrows to reveal which ones are vulnerable to the Four Sword; vulnerable orbs turn into red eyes, while invulnerable orbs turn blue. After all four weak spots are uncovered, Link must clone himself with the duplication tiles on the battlefield to strike all of Vaati Transfigured's vulnerable eyes at the same time. This will stun Vaati Transfigured, rendering him weak to continued Sword strikes. Vaati Transfigured's attacks become more intense as he takes damage, and he also moves faster, making it more difficult for Link to line up his own attacks.
When enough damage is dealt to Vaati Transfigured, Link will be able to break the curse on Princess Zelda and attempt to escape Dark Hyrule Castle before fighting Vaati's third and final form, Vaati's Wrath.
