Overview

This page is to keep track of all policy proposals. Currently, we only focus on one proposal at a time. Only verified Participants may take part in this process.

Status: Not started I propose that we adapt our coverage for location and dungeon article types. For locations, I recommend that we begin listing the number of enemies that appear in an area. I have collected data for this information over the past few years and have documents ready to roll out changes based on my findings. In addition, I recommend that we list conditional information for enemies, like whether any respawn (if you remain in an area, will they show up again?), reappear (if you leave or change screens and come back, are they still there?), and note if any do not reappear or respawn. I recommend that we also document minibosses and bosses in a location/dungeon article. If we do, I recommend we change the section title from "Minor Enemies" to just "Enemies", and list the others as sub-sections to the "Enemies" section. This would also move some mentions of overworld (mini)bosses to new sub-sections, like Stone Taluses (Breath of the Wild) or the Turtle Rock (Boss) outside Turtle Rock (Link's Awakening). I also recommend that we document Treasure Chests and collectibles (like Gold Skulltulas, Korok Seeds) through sections with tables. The purpose of this would be to show what kind of thing is displayed (e.g. if there are any particular Treasure Chest types or Korok Seed Puzzles), and where. This would move the paragraphs concerning these into their own sub-sections. For dungeons, I recommend this same approach, but with a minor adjustment. Either: remove the L2 section "Entrance to the (Dungeon)" and replace it with a "Features and Overview" L2 section. Then, move the L2 "Themes and Navigation" to a L3 subsection underneath it, carrying its child sections with it. Alternatively, we could adopt a "Features and Overview" section to cover both "Entrance to the (Dungeon)" and "Themes and Navigation" as a single L2 section with a unified purpose like location articles and have the child sections of "Themes and Navigation" become children of that.
