Template:Boss Gohdan (ゴードン, Gōdon) is the guardian of the Tower of the Gods, and is the last test before the gods acknowledge Link as the True Hero. Gohdan is strong, however he has very few attacks.

Strategy

The final test, Gohdan

Gohdan has few, but powerful attacks. Quite often, he will try to punch Link into the electric pits on the side of the room, or perform a clapping move, striking Link from either side. To stop this, Link must shoot at the eyes on both hands with his Bow and Arrows, disabling them temporarily. After he shoots his hands, Gohdan's eyes become vulnerable. By shooting his eyes, Gohdan will crash to the ground, where Link must then throw a bomb into his mouth.

Should Link run out of arrows, Gohdan will dispense more out of his nose.

Trivia

  • Gohdan is the only boss in The Wind Waker that is not evil, and thus he does not explode upon his defeat. This boss simply returns to the wall it was embedded in at the beginning of the battle. This is also demonstrated by the fact that, once Link exhausts his supply of arrows or bombs, Gohdan will dispense more from its nose.
  • Gohdan's fire-spitting sound is a rather famous stock sound effect that is heard in many films, TV programs, and other games (most famous of which is probably the Doom II end boss).
  • Each time Gohdan is knocked down, his hands will recover faster than before.
  • Gohdan's Hands bear similarities with a Mario Kart DS boss, however, seem to be made of stone, instead of Mechanical
