Overview

The Fairy magic is a unique ability that temporarily turns Link into a Fairy. While Link cannot attack enemies in his fairy form and it leaves him defenseless against enemy attacks, the ability allows him to reach high places and cross dangerous pits of water or lava,[3] and the small size of a fairy enables him to pass through small holes. When he activates the magic in a palace, he can fly through the keyholes of locked doors. If Link is carrying any key during the process, the key will be used first.

In order to obtain this magic, Link must find the Water of Life in a swamp cave to the west of Midoro Palace and bring it to an Old Woman in the Harbor Town of Mido. It is required to enter the Island Palace.

Notes

  1. Fairy was referred to as Fairy Spell on Zelda.com's encyclopedia.[2] However, as this contradicts the name given in Encyclopedia, it is not considered Canon.
