The Temples of Power are places from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.

History

Each constructed by their corresponding race, the Temples of Power were sanctuaries to the gods, and were used for religious and aesthetic purposes. Ancient structures, each lay in their element's most focused and sacred point. The temples each had a corresponding sage to pray and guard them. In all, there were seven major temples of power, and two minor ones used to power the Master Sword. There was one temple for each major element.

When Ganondorf took control of Hyrule, the seven major temples of power were infested with evil. The power radiating from them prevented the sages from awakening, and gave strength to the Gerudo King.
