"By Firefly's Light" is a Side Quest in Breath of the Wild.[1]

Overview

After Link has completed both "Find the Fairy Fountain" and "Flown the Coop", he can speak to Lasli in Kakariko Village, who complains she has to head home straight away instead of searching for Sunset Fireflies.[2] She misses them and has become sick of going without them.[3] Lasli wishes that the Sunset Fireflies could come to her so she could see them,[4] which begins the Side Quest.

To satisfy Lasli, Link must gather five Sunset Fireflies. They can be found around the bridge nearby, though they can be obtained from anywhere. When Link speaks to Lasli with Fireflies in his Inventory, she notices their glowing and demands to see them.[5]

Once Link releases five Sunset Fireflies in her home, Lasli will stand and express her happiness.[6] To express her gratitude, she gives Link a Purple Rupee.[7] She then comments on how pretty their glow is, describing it as magical.[8] If Link says that Lasli is also pretty, she will thank him.[9] However, if Link reminds her of their short lifespan, she becomes frustrated and remarks that boys are unromantic.[10] Afterwards, the Side Quest will be completed.
