In Majora's Mask

Template:Boss

Gargantuan Masked Fish: Gyorg first appeared in Majora's Mask as the boss of the Great Bay Temple. He lived in a tank full of water surrounding a central platform, where Link had to fight him from. Gyorg was massive in size, but was still capable of propelling itself all the way out of the water and onto the pedestal to attack Link. He could also produce schools of ravenous Garahnas from his mouth to attack Link should he venture into the water, as well as engulfing Link with its mouth and chewing him up before spitting him back out. Link had to kill Gyorg in order to free a spirit entrapped by Gyorg's evil.

In The Wind Waker

In The Wind Waker, Gyorg was the name of an enemy that lived in the Great Sea, similar in appearance to a shark but smaller, and capable of knocking Link out of his boat, the King of Red Lions, with a headbutt confrontation. It could also attack Link by biting him should it encounter him in the water. When Link is sailing along any Gyorgs that encounter him will attempting to knock him out by ramming him head on. If they miss they simply turn round, quickly outstrip the King of Red Lions before turning round and attempting another head-on ram. If they encounter Link stopped in the water they will circle him, in or out of the boat, often in groups, before one of them ventures in to ram the boat or bite Link. Note that they usally attacked in groups of 3, but still attack in groups of 2, or alone.

In The Minish Cap

Gyorg was also a boss in The Minish Cap, although in this game they're physically completely different, being more like manta rays instead of fish-like. Link had to battle them using his Empowered White Sword and his Roc's Cape to jump from one to the other. According to The Minish Cap, the female Gyorg is bigger than the male. They are encountered in the Palace of Winds. The four shiny plates are places where Link can use his Four Sword to destroy the female one.
