There are many gods in the worlds around the land of Hyrule.

The most reknowned and powerful of the divine are Din, Nayru, and Farore, the Golden Godesses who created Hyrule and the Sacred Realm.

There are also the Four Giants who created Termina, the Wind Fish who dreamt up Koholint Island, and the Ocean King who protects the Great Sea.

Guardian Deities are spirits who also watch over an associated tribe.

The manga implies that Odolwa is the god of the Deku, though Odolwa may merely be a name for the Southern Giant they are known to worship in Majora's Mask.

There are also unaffiliated gods or spirits who dedicate themselves only to their element or superior deity.

  • The Owl, who assists the Wind Fish in watching over Koholint Isle.
  • The Season Spirits assist Din in ensuring the circadian cycle of the seasons.
  • Zephos and Cyclos are twin gods of wind. They do have a shrine to them, but it was destroyed by visitors.
  • The Light Spirits assist the Goddesses in holding back the Twilight of the Interlopers.
  • The Ocean Spirits, who assist the Ocean King in protecting the Great Sea.

Finally, there are Devils ("Majin" in Japan) that serve as sources of evil in the series.

  • Dethl, the ultimate form of the Shadow Nightmares who overpowered the Wind Fish, and leader of the Nightmare Tribe
  • Ganon, the God-King of Evil, strongly associated with the Dark Tribe. He has also been worshipped by the Gerudo, Deku, and Zant
  • Bongo-Bongo, an evil Shadow Spirit, strongly associated with the Poe
  • Majora, a manifestation of pure Spite, created by an Ancient Tribe
  • Vaati, the Wind Mage, who re-released the Monster Tribe upon the world
  • Bellum, the Phantom Devil, creator of the Phantom Tribe

Some say that Fierce Deity is the god of war or death, and guards the Sheikah, due to his strong resemblance to them.
