The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Creating a Champion, known in Japan as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Master Works, is a book released to celebrate the 30th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda series, focusing solely on Breath of the Wild.

Features

Creating a Champion features almost 50 pages with sketches and illustrations from Takumi Wada, 296 pages of artwork and commentary about the making of the game from its creators, 55 pages of the history of the game's Hyrule, and interviews with the team members, including Hidemaro Fujibayashi, Satoru Takizawa, Takumi Wada, and Eiji Aonuma.[3]

Two limited editions were released. The Hero's Edition features an exclusive cover, a deluxe slipcase, a Hyrule cloth map, a print of the Picture of the Champions, and a glass replica of an Spirit Orb.[4] The Champions' Edition, exclusive to GameStop retailers, features gilded pages, an exclusive cover, a collector's leather box, a cloth Calamity Ganon tapestry, an art print of the Champions, six mini prints, and four glass orbs with the Divine Beasts symbols.[5]

Trivia

  • The Japanese release features a concept art of Link's Father and sister which is not present in the English release.[6]
