These are found in Dodongo's Cavern in OoT. The Baby Dodongo is a fairly harmless but annoying foe which can be easily defeated by simply using your sword. It will appear up from below the ground, so be cautious because it is rather quick in its movements. After it has been defeated, it will explode. This explosion can be used strategically if you do not possess bombs yet.
These monsters only appear in the Dodongo's Cavern.
There is also a Majora's Mask version of the Baby Dodongo, which is considerably smaller and takes much less hits to kill.
In Phantom Hourglass, Baby Dongorongos appear in the Goron Temple. They look very similar to their predecessors, but lack the explosive finish of their console counterparts. Large groups of them appear during the boss battle with Dongorongo, harassing Link and Gongoron at every turn.
