Fraaz is a boss in Spirit Tracks with a physical appearance that resembles a Miniblin and a head that looks ike a keese. This boss is very similar to the fight agains the duo of witch sisters, Twinrova from Ocarina of Time, in the way that he can shoot both fire, and ice, and his weakness will be either cold or heat depending on his physical status. He also will split into two ghostly creatures if Link hits him with the boomerang after passing through ice or fire, like his relative from Phantom Hourglass, Blaaz. He likes to inflate like a balloon to intimidate his enemies before a battle.

Strategy

The arena where the spirit is fought is located on the top of the Snow Temple, in the ice and cold, with two torches in the centre. As soon as Link enters, both torches ignite- one begins to burn with flame, and the other with ice-cold blue flame. The demonic spirit immediately appears, swelling up like a balloon. Fraaz starts off by swelling up, glowing with a certain kind of element, either fire or ice, and after a few seconds releases a devastating attack of the corresponding element. Link must use the elementthat opposes the spirit's attack to stun the ghoul and make him stop his attack. After several slashes, Fraaz splits into two small, ghostly, elemental dolls that each have a certain element. The aura that gives them their power is cleverly cloaked, but a hit with the boomerang will briefly show the elemental alignment of one doll. The dolls can charge up a low-power attack if Link leaves them long enough, but these are easy to avoid. After viewing an elemental aura, the dolls will hurriedly swap, hoping to make Link lose the position of the vulnerable one. A boomerang laden with element will destroy a doll, and once both of them die Fraaz reforms, shaken up. He will grow incensed, and destroy the two torches, forcing Link to use his boomerang on the spirit's attacks to defeat him. Two doll-killing rounds later, the fiend swells up, freezes as a victory theme is played, and collapses ino black smoke, giving up the Triforce Gem of the Snow Temple.
